Earl Boen, aged 81, was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer back in the Fall of 2022 and while most famous as portraying the somewhat hapless Dr. Silberman in the first three Terminator films, actually retired from acting after almost thirty years in 2003 but continued to offer lots of voicework for literally dozens of cartoons and video games.

Chances are, you've heard his voice somewhere. He voiced characters in numerous cartoons ranging from Pinky & the Brain, and Batman: The Animated Series, and in multiple video games including the aforementioned Sergei Gurlukovich in Metal Gear Solid 2, another Sergei in the Soldiers of Fortune games and perhaps most prominantly, King Tereras Menethil II of Lordaeron, Artha's Daddy, in the World of Warcraft cutscenes. He also served as the Narrator in various World of Warcraft expansions as well.

He also voiced Captain LeChuck in the classic 1997 LucasArts Adventure game, The Curse of Monkey Island.

He's survived by his wife, daughter and two grandchildren.
