As great as that would be I doubt it will happen.
Half the country think those guys are fighting the good fight against the evil Republicans, who are racist and hate women and hate science and are backwoods backwards uncultured barbarians and the only thing holding the Democrats back from easily fixing everything and making utopia.
Most of the news media, darn near 100 percent of entertainment media, and most colleges agree with that and try to push that narrative as much as possible.
They won't stand for anything even remotely looking like a purge (or legitimate arrests for corruption, collusion, conspiracy, and whatever else). They were having riots for losing a election for goodness sake. What madness would they do if "literally Hitler" starts arresting perfectly innocent politicians (ha) on obviously false charges since clearly they didn't do anything wrong.
Plus there is probably a very real fear of what would happen if the Democrats ever got power again. Just look at some if the threads over in sb. The leftists are basically crowing about how they should get everyone that's not them out of government for being evil incarnate. And I'm sure it would be covered by the media that way if it ever happened.
Republicans are probably terrified of setting a precedent of going after people for backroom wheeling and dealing or even higher level corruption. Because d.c. is a filthy place politically. Everyone is probably involved with something somehow. And the media won't cover for Republicans like they do Democrats. No stories buried on page 18 for them, it's front page headlines 24/7.
