I don't think there's much difference between the concept of ethnicity and the concept of race. Aren't they basically the same thing?

It has been used in that way before when someone says a person is racially Jewish or Russian or something but that is an unclear definition and then when you end up talking about race everyone ends up thinking it’s something different. That’s why it’s best to keep it simple while all humans are sons of Adam and share a common ancestor and blood since we can interbreed. But humans have split apart there are the three great races, then there are large groups who thin the races and finally the ethnicities themselves. I mean a Russian and English man are vastly different racially and genetically they are still both white. So why wouldn’t Jews and Arabs be white. While they are probably farther than the English and Russian. They are closer to each other than to the Chinese.

I guess I'm a little confused on that. Is it not correct to say that one is ethnically Swedish or German or whatever if their ancestors were from there even if they themselves were born in the US? It's not like they're keeping traditions or language alive or anything, it's just to describe their ancestry.

No because a lot of those people are basically doing a shout out or a homage to their roots.

I mean Irish Americans and a lot of Cuban and Argentine Americans we do keep our language and roots even four generations down the line. So the technical purely literal "Cuban American" fits..when they're ethnically both. Chinese Americans do the same, where you'll have them speaking English and Cantonese or Mandarin even a century and a half after the first generation hopped off a boat.

But its just a hyperbolic way of honoring ones ancestors and I don't particularly see an issue with it.

First of all the problem isn't in black peoples genes the problem is the african american family.

When you take out the children of single mothers the black community performs at the same level as the white one. If you want the community to improve all you need to do is restore the position and authority of black fathers.
