Not sure what else to say, November 15th is Steve Irwin Day.
Oddly the reason November 15th was chosen as Steve Irwin Day has nothing to do with his birthday which is February 22nd of 1962 or when he passed away on September 4th, 2006 but apparently it's due to being the birthday of his favorite Galapagos Tortoise.
Anyways, he's not known for his work with tortoises, but with Australian Crocodiles, hence the name 'Crocodile Hunter.' He became most popular as a Conservationist for his television shows The Crocodile Hunter which ran from 1996 through 2007 but appeared in a lot of media including multiple other television series, documentaries and even his own 2002 The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course which I did see and have to say... was okay. It was entertaining.
I have it on solid anecdotal secondhand non-confirmable information that Steve Irwin is his character on the television in regards to his distinctive mannerisms and way of speech so much respect for that, because the Crocodile Hunter was an awesome character and is that character.
