You are the King (or Queen) of some mid-tier Duchy or Province or lesser Kingdom that swears fealty to some powerful Emperor who rules over the Council of Electors (in which case you'd be one of them). Regardless your influential and you rule over a fairly stable and wealthy feudal regime. Alas, being on the frontier, your constantly under threat from Orc/ks, Trolls, Undead, and Pagan Hordes from the Eastern Steppe or Corsairs from the Southern Seas. Needless to say, without strong leadership, all of that stability is ephermal.

Thankfully you have a strong, noble, healthy and VIRILE male Heir to continue your noble line. He's a dutiful lad who despite finding it boring, pays attention to the lectures of the learned men and has proven himself capable on the tournament grounds, on various formal functions and visitations and has limited his abuse of the lowborn and other witless peasants to minor levels of prankery. Like good and proper young lads in High Fantasy settings, he's set off on a series of adventures, doing a little dungeon delving, a little monster slaying, brigand and pirate hunting and recently on his latest adventuring expedition, slew a Great Sea Troll Hag in single combat or something and rescuing a dozen ships from the Maelstorm. Pretty cool. Now that he's come of age... it's time to marry that fucker off and have them start making even littler Heirs. Also this marriage is meant to secure and enhance your own Kingdoms reputation, prestige, standing and hopefully stability and security.

And maybe... just maybe... you can take in your Heir's considerations as well. He's received reports of the potential Princess candidates to be sent for courtship and he has helpfully arranged them in order of who'd he'd wanna "court" 🤤 for your perusal.

In the Princes order...

1. Princess Aubrey (Currently Un-Nobled): "Her current occupation appears to be 'Grave Robber.' Information suggests she poisoned her previous wealthy husband after an arranged marriage who exposed her to years of neglect and abuse which maybe understandable, but this was also the time she engaged in the unsavory 'occupation' of grave robbing and dungeon delving. Our young Prince apparently adventured alongside this Rogue during his initial adventures, with her revealing her noble background around a campfire. While there's an obvious mutual attraction here, marrying her would provide little material benefit to the Kingdom and may cause predictable scandal as despite being of noble bearing, her career choice is certainly frowned upon in the least." - Chamberlain Notes.

"She's S-Tier for me. We've gone on so many adventures and bonded so much in person, unlike with the rest of the potential suitors. And most importantly, she was a Lady before and she's willing to be a Lady again for me. (Also I might have already impregnated her)" - Prince Notes.

2. Princess Merida of Dun Broch: "Merida is a princess by birth and an adventurer by a spirit. She spends her days practicing archery, riding her horse Angus, and exploring the world around her. She loves her family, but she wants to control her own destiny. She issued the offer of Courtship with the Enthusiastic Backing of all four Clans. She has heard words of his adventures and apparently wishes for a worthy companion as her betrothed. Compared to the Empire we serve, Dun Broch is underdeveloped and ungovernable so this could be a good segway into those lands populated by strong warriors resilient to all encroachments so far and strategically placed as well." - Chamberlain Notes

"I can't wait for us to get married! We're going to be married and riding together, our hair flowing in the wind as we ride through the glens, firing arrows into the sunset! She has a sexy accent too and said she'll teach me horse archery and how to kill a Demon Bear! Did I mention the red hair?" - Prince Notes

3. Queen Anna of Arendelle: "Arendelle is a small but prosperous Northern City State and the new Queen Anna is looking for a Suitor who won't murder her which shouldn't be a problem. Arendelle is strategically located in the North and could develop into a strong ally or more if we enter marriage into it. The nation itself isn't particularly powerful, though the Queen's sister is a powerful outlier. The Prince would likely be spending more time in Arendelle as opposed to here however which could complicate matters." - Chamberlain Notes.

"I heard she punched Prince Hans with a right hook, knocking him off the ship. His potentially being unconscious combined with the frigid water means he almost certainly died. That's hot... almost as hot as that long red hair of hers." - Prince Notes.

4. Fa Mulan of Chi-na: "Although not of nobility, she gained great acclaim for saving China from the Hun Invasion as well as other service to the Emperor of that far off land. She therefore has been elevated to the highest of noble status. She's expressed interest in the Young Lord, apparently attracted to capable military men and being of a military background herself. A betrothal to such a far off Lady would yield unknown benefits but they could be potentially bountiful, especially for trade and diplomacy." - Chamberlain Notes.

"Apparently she was dumped by some Chinese General for not being an actual clumsy soldier femboy twink. Sad. And gay. I am a tomboy respecter." - Prince Notes.

5. Princess Azula of the Fire Nation: "The Fire Nation is extremely powerful. They are also highly aggressive and expansionist. Closer ties to them would mean a great deal of help solving many of our own external problems, but could create more internal ones if not handled correctly. And Princess Azula, with all due respect, exhibits some very abrasive personality traits." - Chamberlain Notes.

"Father! Princess Azula just sent me a love letter after learning about my Sea Troll Hag Slaying. It says 'Together you and I will be the strongest couple in the entire world! We will DOMINATE THE EARTH!' She also says I dress sharp, so sharp that I could sunder the world, plunging it into a cataclysm comparable to the Awakening of Deathwing!" - Prince Notes.

6. Princess Moana of Motunui: "The Polynesian people of which she belongs to are on the other side of the World. Even farther then this Chi-na place but they're gifted seafarers and through correspondence have desired to open trade and diplomatic relations with us. Their peerless abilities at navigation and seamanship could offer untold benefits for our own merchant marine and commercial developments but the sheer distances involved would result in little other tangible benefit, at least in the foreseeable future." - Chamberlain Notes.

"My correspondence with her has stricken me with Yellow Fever and the only cure is a vacation in the Southern Seas." - Prince Notes.

7. Princess Elena of Jafari: "Jafari is a Kingdom in East Africa. So closer then our other candidates but still a fair bit away. Like our young Lord, Princess Elena is a warrior of great renown in her Kingdom. Details on Jafari are slim though its reputedly a place of great learning and quite cosmopolitan. Their daughter is well traveled, free spirited and very charming. It's unknown what benefits betrothal may offer however." - Chamberlain Notes.

"We went dancing at the Royal Ball and she taught me the basics of Capoeira. In return she showed interest in mastering the long spear... and this time I'm not even using sexual innuendo. Also I am told 'Black Don't Crack' which I assume is a positive trait. Did I mention she's like six feet tall?" - Prince Notes.

8. Princess Eldyra of Tiranoc: "On one hand, she's of the Asur, the long lived High Elven race of Ulthaun. On the other hand, she's the youngest daughter of her family and has little inheritance. A capable warrior, she was apparently rebuked by Ulthaun's Phoenix King which caused her great embarrassment and humiliation. As the daughter of a famous High Elf warrior named Eldyr, she apparently decided to go abroad to find her place in the World. For some reason, she has shown an interest in courting our young Lord. A marriage with her would prove unusual. Her kind can live for hundreds of years and her potential offspring would be likely longer lived as well if such a coupling does prove fruitful." - Chamberlain Notes.

"My Squire told me its not gay if its with an Elf. That's neither here nor there. I'm not sure the practicality of marrying an Elf but I am MORE THAN WILLING to marry a beautiful, fertile, Elf Princess who will never visibly age... for the good of the KINGDOM of course." - Prince Notes.

9. Princess Margaery of House Tyrell: "The Tyrells of Highgarden are an extremely influential, wealthy and connected family in Westeros. And Princess Margaery is reputably one of the most beautiful women of the Seven Kingdoms. Securing a marriage with them will provide an economic boon for us as well as legitimize our our Kingdom in diplomatic affairs with House Tyrell backing us in our endeavors. We'd also have the benefit of them being beholden to us due to our superior military. Furthermore Westeros is close by unlike some of our suitors and would be seen as a perfectly sensible and wise courtship. Conversely, Westerosi politics are a mess which could be hazardous to invest in. But Westerosi and our own Imperial nobles lineages are still closely intertwined." - Chamberlain Notes.

"My Warden told me its not gay if its with a Tyrell. Also neither here nor there. I mean I won't turn down a pretty face, and she is very classic Princessy." - Prince Notes.

10. Princess Aranessa Saltspite of Sartosa: "The stories about her being the daughter of the God of the Seas Manaan may very well be true, but this self styled Pirate Queen seems erratic at best. She's a woman of few words and has about as much mirth as the North Sea. Our Prince rescued her from the Maelstorm after slaying the great Sea Troll Hag. In return she has stated she will pledge herself into a Union with our Young Lord in exchange for support of liberating Sartosa from her rivals (who just happen to be our Rivals in the Seas as well) and if true, would secure the safety of our commerce for at least a generation to come if only to fulfill her debt but... she's also a pirate." - Chamberlain Notes.

"When I saw her in combat, I was almost able to look past the fish jaw, scaly skin and lack of lower extremities. But when I saw her smile at me as we stood on the forecastle of the ship admiring the sunset, I realized then and there... I can fix her. 😏" - Prince Notes.

And remember this is a ranking... though I might add a poll later. I dunno.

It's safe to assume that everyone here if not detailed already, has expressed interest in the young Prince (who I guess has game like an anime Pornomancer or something) and a genuine desire to court him without stabbing him in the back for reasons of convenience. And while he ranked the choices himself, he's more than open to marrying any of the potential Princesses on the list.

I'm only familiar with the animated movie women here. I'd say go for either Anna or Mulan. They are virtuous women and a marriage would have the best chance of lasting. Merida would be a no go simply because of her rebellious and indignant attitude. Azula only makes sense if you want to take over the world and don't care about the wellbeing of your son.

Hey I like this, I'll respond to each one in character. But just a question. If we pick an option does the rest of the universe come along? Like say the Asur does that mean that all of Warhammer and chaos also? Or is it just what is stated here?
Anyway I wouldn't pick directly for my son, he will be king/duke after me, and he needs to think about this so his input will be 90% of this, it's also to test him to think on how he will handle rule when he is in charge. However I will exorcise veto options.

Also my son's pretty cool who is my wife? Was she a bad ass tomboy waifu?

1. "Veto I'm sorry my son, but you might be surprised at my reasons, she does have noble title so that is ok even if it is minor. As for being a grave robber that is bad also, but could also be papered away with me by being euphemistic about it, call her an adventurer or dungeon delver. No the issue is that she poisoned her previous husband. I understand that she claims he was abusive towards her, and if so then perhaps it was justified. However poison is very serious, if she merely killed him to profit herself then I can not take the risk of tying her to your life, and our dynasty. The fact she is pregnant is a problem, I do not want to separate you from your own child, and I want your child to know it's father and grandfather. But the mother if she is self serving can use this to eliminate you and use the child to her bennefit to take the realm? I can think of two solutions, I'm leaning towards one, do you have any ideas of your own?"

2. "Princess Merrida is fine, I obviously would rank other options higher based on my personal preference for looks, or that their realms are more valuable. But again you are selecting your wife so your preferences are what matter, and if you think that the alliance will be useful that you could bring their clans into the empire or our kingdom when you take the throne I will not gainsay you as long as it is logical."

3. "Queen Anna, would probably be my choice, hmm you see her as redheaded? I thought she was brunette, but yes she is cute, seems reasonable, and she has a rich realm that would nice."

4. "Mulan well she is exotic, I too enjoy tomboys my son, again I don't have an objection. If you think we can learn, or trade, or bennefit with closer ties to the orient I will trust your judgment."

5. "Veto, also you said what she said, not your thoughts I'm worried that she is put so high up on your preferences. Son let me tell you while crazy in the head means crazy in the bed, same reason I won't allow you to marry the first woman applies here. I'd rather my son not get killed by his wife for a slight."

6. "Princess Moana I don't know anything about these people I thought they were primative, but again I will trust your judgement. Though I will say that if you catch yellow fever I would have thought Mulan would have been your cure."

7. "I also don't know what that term black don't crack means. Anyway you said this African nation is educated and cosmopolitian? I have no objections then."

8. So elves are they like Warhammer High Elves, or more like Anime elves? Don't warhammer elves have weird elongated skulls?
I ask the chamberlin
"Umm how gay are elves?"
"Right son, I'm leaning towards no to the elf, but I am willing to be convinced otherwise if you can put a good argument and plan for how succession would apply? How long do half elves live? Are they fertile? If you can show that the realm would be stable and that the child being long lived won't lead to chaos I'll give my blessing."

9. "Princess Margaery, no male Tyrells are gay. Anyway this princess is also ok, an acceptable choice."

10. Question does the empire I'm part of hate mutants the same as Warhammer? Because if she is just a pirate I could make regular deals and not be a heretic.
"Son that you are seriously entertaining this makes me worry for your sanity. Fish people. Honestly, the chamberlain was correct, our enemies are her enemies. Is she willing to just have a normal alliance, or to accept a letter of marque, or a promise that we won't interfere in her pirate activities and in exchange she won't hunt our shipping? That seems acceptable. But marriage is not, sorry son veto."

"Alright son besides those 3 vetos you can choose any woman you want."

Hey I like this, I'll respond to each one in character. But just a question. If we pick an option does the rest of the universe come along? Like say the Asur does that mean that all of Warhammer and chaos also? Or is it just what is stated here?

I guess think of it as some sort of Crossover/Blended World. Kinda like the map here as a very rough example. So you shouldn't be too pre-occupied with marrying a Warhammer Princess and thinking you'll be porting Chaos or Dark Elves into the World. They'd already be existing in the world though the marriage might affect said relationships beyond what's said in this thread. Like a successful courtship of Princess Azula or Aranessa Saltspite would likely really cut down on any threat to the Kingdom's maritime trade regardless if its from generic Arabian Corsairs or Warhammer Dark Elves or various flavors of fictional Vikings/Norse.

Also going over the list, I guess I'll add a brief addendum to Queen Margaery, she's likely the only Princess whose from a close to Imperial related province. Merida of Dun Broch is pretty independent and Arendelle is kinda small and likely nestled on the wrong side of the Northern Sea even if close by. Everyone else is too far away and foreign to consider for Imperial membership.

Also my son's pretty cool who is my wife? Was she a bad ass tomboy waifu?

Originally I was conceiving this as a YOU Choose your Princess, but that would've been less creative and more thirsty. Balancing whom would be the best betrothed for your Heir did seem like a far more interesting angle to take. And yeah, I wanted the Prince to be someone to take pride in with martial capabilities and wisdom while also being stereotypically young and impetuous and chastefully horny.

Having a badass Tomboy Waifu as a Queen certainly seems perfectly possible. But I'll leave that up to the Poster as to the Prince's maternal heritage. Only restriction I would entertain at the moment would be likely someone from a "European" setting and not someone related to one of the current potential Princesses.

8. So elves are they like Warhammer High Elves, or more like Anime elves? Don't warhammer elves have weird elongated skulls?
I ask the chamberlin

No Warhammer Elves actually look pretty close to Human. No weird skulls AFAIK. Or at least nothing recognizable. The helmets are taller because of the ears I think, and so they can keep their hair nice and pretty.

10. Question does the empire I'm part of hate mutants the same as Warhammer? Because if she is just a pirate I could make regular deals and not be a heretic.

No. Mutants might be frowned upon in the higher classes but that's likely just due to smugness/elitism and associating all sorts of noticeable aberrance like she'd have as just unsavory more or less. But scandal level wise it'd be like marrying someone low born or rogueish or from an unpopular country. Most common folk and local nobility won't likely care too much about the mutantness. In Aranessa's case, the thought she's a Child of Manaan might actually enhance the reputation of the couple in maritime and commercial circles based on that alone. Her actual reputation and ability to bring security to the sea lanes would probably elevate it higher. Though conversely the pirate nature of her and her general lack of congeniality would likely mean she wouldn't be improving her social standings in many levels of society anyhow.

Ah I love the smell of missile spam in the morning
Hmmm probably going with Anna here. Especially since presumably that means we might get a shot at her kids maybe having magical Elemental powers

Conversely, Westerosi politics are a mess which could be hazardous to invest in." - Chamberlain Notes.

Not familiar with every one of these so some are just going off the descriptions and brief wiki-walks. Also I'm trying to present this in-character as a noble interested in kingdom building.

1. Princess Azula My top choice. Like Anna, she brings superpowers to the table but even better, hers are actually genetic and likely to pass to the heir whereas there's no guarantee Elsa's will be passed on or become part of the family. Azula hasn't yet inherited but her highly likely rulership of the entire Fire Nation is a very significant dowry between their size, navy, and technology. Further, I'm of the opinion her personality is not nearly as troublesome as most people believe, Azula is incredibly loyal throughout and never turns on anyone who doesn't betray her first, and her ultimate breakdown is pretty much entirely the result of being abandoned by every person she trusts simultaneously. Assuming the prince stays loyal, he can expect her to be equally so to her.

2. Queen Anna Second best choice after Azula, only slightly below honestly. Anna has already taken the throne so her kingdom is assured as a dowry, and even if small appears more advanced than most of the other choices. Anna herself has a pleasant personality and will be invaluable in statecraft. While she has no superpowers herself, her sister does which is a huge boon and it may be possible to tie her to the family more closely and integrate that into our family.

3. Princess Moana Access to advanced sailors isn't a bad thing but Moana doesn't bring much with her personally. Further, compared to the iron steamships we can expect from the Fire Nation, Polynesia's rafts and catamarans just can't compete

4. Princess Merida A weak choice. She wouldn't be the worst but the dowry she brings is relatively unimpressive. That said aside from consideration of statecraft, Merida herself is a quality choice.

5. Fa Mulan Mulan doesn't have a sufficient dowry. She's basically the daughter of some rando infantryman, at best a slightly wealthier peasant. Barring trade considerations with Chi-Na that don't appear to be guaranteed at all, she simply won't add enough to the family holdings to be as significant as choices above.

6. Princess Eldyra brings no Dowry but her own genetics. Now, those are some impressive genetics but I understand that elves generally have terrible fertility to go along with their long lives. Aside from the issues of a match where one side of the relationship is going to outlive the other by centuries, we're going to potentially have issues even getting an heir in the first place and de facto, there's no way she won't wind up ruling our house in the future by virtue of outliving and outmaneuvering everybody else over the years.

7. Princess Margaery would be a good choice if having to be involved with Westeros wasn't attached. As is that drops her significantly. Very significantly. Extra very significantly.

8. Princess Aranessa Saltspite A pirate just isn't going to settle down properly. Further, while she does have some dowry, she also brings a guaranteed war with her. Besides, safeguard our shipping? Methinks the Fire Nation with its ironclads can do a much better job of that than her sailboat.

9. Princess Aubrey Killed her last husband. Sorry, no, my son's not marrying somebody with that record.

The only one I am familiar with is Mulan, so she is it.
The Scottish one might bring in some good blood to the family and having heirs with potential ice control powers sounds good, too.

1.No,politically she gave nothing.
2.Good idea, you could add those lands to your kingdom, and she would be good Queen, too.
3.If her sister agree to support you,OK.If not,it would be only problem.
4.Nope,you get nothing except hot waifu. For prince it is not enough.
5.If prince could tame her, sure. If not - keep her away.
6.Nothing your kingdom could get elsywhere, febra is curable, especially in magic world.
7..If you could not get something more then capoeira, then no.But,economical ties would be nice.
8.Elven princess? go for it! magic and babies who would live longer and have magic, too, are worth as much as human kingdom.
9.Westeros? nope, nope, nope. No womans from that accursed shithole.
10.She gave only hope for co-ruling some archipelage,and nothing more.So- no,thank you.

So,2,3,5,7,8 as passable options.

P.S If they are on the world with WHF elves, that means Chaos. In that case,no matter who you choose,Chaos would take over anyway.

Ok like Kings Art I'm going to respond to these in character. and @Husky_Khan if it's ok with you, I'd like to see my character's son's response to this, as my character would be up for a debate. I'll make my responses in order

1. Princess Aubrey: *Spits out mead let's out a violent cough and starts beating my chest.*

"Well son *clears thought* I think by many societal standards if you impregnated her it means you two are married anyway. We aren't beholden to such laws but still....with that out of the way let me try to address my thoughts on her."

Grave Robbing" *Pfft* My boy, before I was a king Dungeon Delving and tomb looting was how I made my living. Back then we called it Adventuring. Heck even after becoming king I did that kind of thing as a holiday getaway up until you were born. The nobles maybe clutching their pearls, but it's a nonissue

Poisoning her husband: I don't know much about the situation but from what little I know it wasn't pretty. Your situation is different though as she obviously likes you. As long as you continue to love her as you love yourself you should be fine.

Political benefits: One thing I want you to be aware. You will have people scoff at you and mock you because of this woman's history. Your rivals will use her to slander you and try to drag you down your prestige will go down and it will be an uphill battle to try and build it back up, but at the end of the day the ones that have to live with that are you and her not them. If your concern is prestige then do not marry her, if you don't care about such things, then don't let anyone stop you.

As far as alliances go: I personally could take it or leave it. It'll make things harder sure, we'd be in no worse a situation than we currently are.

Overall: if you are willing to take a hit to your prestige, I think she'd make a fine wife. but let's go over the othe options before making a final decision.

Princess Merida: "*watches her handle a bow and let's out a Wolf whistle.* Remember when we need to look at all the suitors before making a decision? Case and point. dang she's good with a bow. Between her looks and the way she presents herself. She honestly reminds me of your mother. See that look in her eyes? that look tells me that if she can find an equal, she'd be as good in bed as she is with a bow. Considering that you both have a thirst for adventure that'll give you something to bond over. You two can go dungeon delving together.

Political benefits: Honestly the political benefits are what intrigue me most. With this marriage backed by all of the clans we'd be able to peacefully unite into a single independent empire that would have to answer to no one but ourselves, something that I greatly desire. That being said this isn't about my own personal desires and political ambitions. This is about finding you a wife. "

Overall: I will say if you want my advice. So far of the two I think she'd make a great wife, potentially even better than Aubrey. the only thing Aubrey has on Merida is personal history with you and I don't think that would be hard to develop but we still have other suitors to go through.

Queen Anna: "Eh....I'm not sure about this one. Nothing against her as a person. I'm sure she'd make a great wife but her kingdom is far away, and you'd be spending more time there than you would here, which could lead to a revolt and civil war. "

Overall: I strongly advise against this union. the potential cost would far outweigh the benefits.

Fa Mulan: "Li Shang sleeps with feminine men? ....huh, ok then.

This is another woman that reminds me of your mother. While she's not royal in her own right she sits at the right hand of the Jade Dragon and has his ear. it'd give us a powerful ally for both military and trade, plush she seems strong I'd imagine you two would have a lot of fun together. plus you'd have a lot of bragging rights...how many men would be able to say their wives forced back a horde of barbarians eh? Hahaha!"

Overall: I don't have much to say about this one. She's a solid choice.

Princess Azula

"No I am laying my foot down on this one. I absolutely forbid you from marrying this woman. Let me try to explain why. I know a lot about this woman. Yes, she's powerful, she may be crazy in bed even. But she is a cruel manipulative psychopathic harpy. Even when she was young without her father's influence, she always saw those around her as tools. She may not kill you, she'll just make sure you are completely under her boot She'll raise your children to be against you and both you and them will be nothing more than puppets. Please believe me I've seen these kinds of rulers before. She will bring you nothing but ruin.

Besides, you yourself haven't said anything to indicate you like her, you just said what she wrote to you. Aside from her ability to bend fire, there is nothing this woman can give you that the previous maidens could not."

Overall: You are going to have to give me a heck of an argument to change my mind. My mind is firm on this. Unless you can give me an argument worthy of the Greek Philosophers, I will not give you my blessing with this woman.

Princess Moana: "Oh my boy you disappoint me...that's a horrible pickup line! As far as the girl herself goes, I admire her sailing skills, but her personality wise she seems rather...plain. I'm not convinced you two are truly compatible. Though I will admit that friend of hers that claims to be a demi-god would prove to be a valuable ally. Plus, there would be trade benefits. but I'm certain this marriage would purely be political."

Overall: "It'd be a solid political alliance but I don't see it going beyond that. If that is ok with you I'll support you but much like with Princess Anna, I advise against this union."

Princess Elena: Oh I've seen some of the matriarchs of in Africa I know EXACTLY what the phrase "Black don't crack means." And yes she's clearly of blood, what little I know about her Kingdom is that it has some of the best minds in the world. Thier knowledge of medicine and philosophy is second to none and it'd greatly increase our influence in Africa and I'm sure you will produce a strong heir male or female. I don't know how well street fighting would translate to street fighting, but if you desire her I will be more than happy to bless your union.

Princess Eldyra: The issue I have here is that these elves are not very fertile and she will long outlast you short of a magical miracle. With no real viable way to produce an heir and a huge gap in lifespan difference. I don't believe it'd be a very strong or beneficial union.

Overall: I'm not actively hostile towards the potential union but I'm not for it.

Princess Margaery: She's got all of the worst aspects of Azula and she doesn't even have any powers. Even if she doesin't kill try to kill you her siblings will. I will not let you get involved in Westerosi's....barbaric politics. In fact at first opportunity, I plan on burning all of thier houses and thier iron throne to the ground.

Overall: Not an option end of discussion. Margaery offers nothing that the other princess cannot.

Princess Aranessa Saltspite: "*sigh*boy let me tell you of women like this. She will give you a fling, but at the end of the day her heart belongs to the sea. She will break your heart. She will not make a good wife for you or a good mother for your children. Even all that aside. Based on her conditions for marriage this reads off as little more than a political alliance and frankly a rather weak one. What happens when you or your children die? She'll just go back to her old ways. Believe me son. You can't change a woman like that and you'll only break you're heart trying."

Overall: I'll see what I can do about forming an alliance with her as I do think she can prove to be a valuable ally. But for your own sake please do not accept a union with her.

Alright my boy, now that we've gone through them all I'll give you my most recommended to my least recommended. my recommendations will be based on a scale of 10, 10 being the highest with reasons why. If you don't agree with me then I will be willing to hear your arguments.

Princess Merida S-Tier 10

She has all of the positive traits of Aubrey with none of the potential scandal or loss of prestige, not only that but the backing of the 4 clans would grow our kingdom large enough to where we can brake away and become completely independent. I believe that this would be the absolute best union for strengthening our kingdom. While you don't have the history and attachment with Merida that you do with Aubrey I have no doubt that will quickly change. I see a very happy and fruitful marriage that will bring nothing but happiness for the both of you and our kingdoms.

If I haven't made it clear, I view this to be the golden union, but my judgment is neither absolute or perfect, but this will be the union I recommend most.

Princess Aubrey: A-Tier 9

The Kingdom's prestige will take a hit. there is no avoiding that. This marriage also has no political benefits. BUT I know you two have a well established relationship with each other and I'm sure you two will be happy. You already have a secure heir. (Legetimizing him or her would be no issue at all.) While I think Merida is by far the best choice overall, if you decide to marry Aubrey I will gladly bless your union.

Princess Elena: A-Tier 9

Good blood means good heirs and access to Africa will prove to be very useful. My only concern is if your adventuring will mesh well with her. But this is another union I will gladly bless.

Fa Mulan: B-Tier 8

She gives us access to a powerful ally. She's not exactly my first choice but she'd be a good union that I would support nonetheless.

Princess Moana C-Tier 6.5: Impressed by her and her people's sailing skills, but I'm just not convinced you two are a good match. Still, there would be benefits and I see no harm in blessing such a union.

Princess Eldyra: D-list 6

I don't see this being a good match for you, especially with no guarantee of an heir. but if you do manage to produce an hier I see no reason not to bless your union.

Queen Anna: F-Tier 5

Considering that you would cease to be king of our land in all but name this is a union I do not recommend at all even if Arendelle itself would prove to be beneficial.

Princess Aranessa Saltspite: F-Tier 3

She will do far more harm to you than good. You won't be able to change her.

Princess Azula & Princess Margaer: Forbidden

I feel as if I said my peace on these two. These are Unions I will not bless period, short of a very darn good argument.

These are my thoughts boy. Please, say your peace.

Regardless of what choice he makes. He still sticks his Dick in Crazy. He is a young man and the possibility of crazy sex is too great for a young mind to ignore. He would just bang Azula behind the kings back. Just like other young princes across the world have done IRL.

I mean if he wants to have a fling with her, I don't like it but it's better than the alternative I'll legitimize the child myself, but there is no way I will allow my son to be married to a manipulative she-wolf and let her be in a position where she can hold my kingdom hostage. If my son was that foolish enough to get to that point, it would be one of those situations where (in CK2 terms) I'd be willing to risk getting the Kinslayer trait. my grandchild through Princess Aubrey that I legitimized will be my heir.

Princess Aubrey - I really like the Grave Robber, I love putting the poison in those damn crabs and then pick through their chitin, but as a princess? Nope

Princess Merida - Exactly what the kingdom needs, a land of feuding clans that in a matter of years will devolve into quagmire never-ending conflict. Nope

Queen Anna - Soverign splitting time between two sides of the sea? Recipe for problems, but maybe it could work. Maaaaybe. She would make a good queen though.

Mulan - Might be some trade benefits. Also tomboy respecter indeed. Possible

Princes Azula - Nope, nope, nope, NOPE!

Princess Moana -Too far and to small for political benefits

Princess Elena - Not much benefit and her smile is dipping into uncanny valley territory.

Princess Eldyra - No political benefits and no elves

Princess Margaery - Pretty, well versed in court politics, trade benefits and might not mind Aubrey as royal mistress. There is a sea between Westeros and the kingdom, right?

Princess Aranessa - Pirate and mutant. NO!

So the ranking would be:

Margaery
Anna
Elena
Mulan
Aubrey
Moana
Eldyra
Merida
Azula
Aranessa

Hey thanks for responding. I have a few questions, and if my son responds thats also cool. So the reason I asked about my wife is because I was wondering how my son became so bad ass, also if I'm free to then go for another woman or not. If I'm single then I can have a mistress, if not well it would be a bad idea. Anyway my question is the empire I'm part of is it an electoral monarchy? So that means my son has a chance of being elected emperor if we can expand the empire by bringing in the clans through a Merida marriage?

I would choose Princess Azula. Because weaponized crazy would be the best kind of crazy in this situation. Just point her at our enemies and tell her to have fun.
Well there is a bad thing, the Fire nation is trying to conquer the world, and our nation is like the Empire from Warhammer or the Holy Roman Empire we are an elector count we aren't the emperor. So she may end up attacking our nation thats one bad thing about her.

Since we're all talking casually in this thread, I figured it'd kinda go into my rankings.

Little bit of context for my king character: I'm basing my king off of how I play my Dragonborn From TES V: Skyrim at a base that'd translate to a Nordic Warrior king who is a legendary dragon slayer and seems to have all of the magical powers of a dragon and is even said to be a dragon in human flesh. He's a devout follower of a christionesque warrior religion (givin the mismatch of high fantasy aspects I don't think real world Christianity would translate as well who prior to being king helping the helpless and slain the forces of evil. He ascended the throne after helping The *Totally not an Expy for a theoretical still existing roman empire* end a civil war that was tearing his country apart, and marrying the wife of the previously fallen queen. The problem is even despite his efforts to help keep the empire together using his influence on the council the empire itself is in its twilight years. The thing is he doesn't want his kingdom and people to become puppet vassal states to some foreign empire. So he wants to make sure his family gets into a high position within another more or better yet grow his own kingdom large enough to where they can strike it out on their own

Thing is he's not a fan of political intrigue. He'll if a decision does provide political benefits he'll certainly take it but he never does it strictly for the prestige or the political benefits. In fact even when the military governor of The Empire strongly urged my player character and the queen to marry he would not marry until he had proven to win the queen's heart. To him somthing like marrige is as much (if not more so) personal than political as it is political.

now with that context I'll give my reasoning for my top two choices and probably dwell into my other choices later when I have more time. it's getting late where I am currently.

Princess Aubrey: The fact that She's a grave robber and dungeon delver doesn't bother my character in the least. That's the kind of thing he does for both fun and to help the helpless and even when he was king he was still a part-timer he only stopped doing that sort of thing because he was soon to become a full-time dad. And now that his only child is full grown and soon to be married he may go back to doing that sort of thing part-time.

The part of her killing her husband would be concerning if it wasn't for the fact that A. given the circumstances surrounding her marriage the act was pretty understandable in my character's mind if not straight-up justified. and B. Unlike with her previous lover, she and my son actually have a strong bond and history with each other. They know each other like the back of thier hands and in my character's eyes would be perfect for each other so long as my son had tough enough skin to handle the nobles snarking behind his back. (Which he honestly hopes he does give how he tried to raise his son) Sure it wouldn't put them in a better position on the political front but it wouldn't put them in a worse position then they were either. He'd just have to find another way to accomplish his goals which he is both fine with and good at. Plus with his son already impregnating her, that means his son has got a surefire heir. they just need to legitimize him or her once they are born.

Initially. this was going to be his pick too and he was just going to go through all of the potential suitors with his son as a formal courtesy that was until they got to the very next suitor.

Princess Merida: My king and his son share a sort of spirited kinship with the people of Dun Broch (IE Scotland) and the surrounding Celtic and Angelo-Saxon kingdoms, in fact he feels more Kinship with them then his actual kin in Westeros. I will admit this is partial meta-gaming on my part. Playing CK2 i've found if you start off playing within the Brittanica area sometime prior to the year 1000, if you can get a foothold and establish a kingdom, The Empire of Brittania is one of the easiest to form.

Here it's even easier as not only would my son marrying Merida give my kingdom that initial segway/foothold, but the marriage is also backed by all 4 tribal kingdoms which with what I've researched seems to expies for Ireland, Wales, Scottland and possibly early England. This means I could establish an alliance with or even unite all 4 kingdoms peacefully and establish the empire of Brittana that much quicker which allows my kingdom to establish permanent independence.

On top of all that both Meredia and my son have much in common, they both have a thirst for adventure, and they are both very attracted to each other. The only Merida doesn't have compared to Aubrey is the personal history with my son and that gap can easily fill with time.

So essentially a marriage with Merida has potentially all the benefits of Aubrey with none of the drawbacks plus it puts my charecter's kingdom in the best position possible for what I want. Hence why my character calls it a 'Golden Union' rating it even above Aubrey.

Still it should be noted that my character would be perfectly fine with his Son marrying Aubrey if that's who his heart truly belongs to. He just thinks Merida would be the best choice overall.

Regardless of what choice he makes. He still sticks his Dick in Crazy. He is a young man and the possibility of crazy sex is too great for a young mind to ignore. He would just bang Azula behind the kings back. Just like other young princes across the world have done IRL.

Well... and it's not like I have a map laid out or anything... but I'm guessing a lot of the suitors are kinda far away. Princess Margaery and Aranessa (and Aubrey) are probably pretty close by. Merida and Anne would require a bit of a trip but nothing crazy. For some reason I imagine Princess Azula and the Fire Nation as being southeast of "The Empire" continent kinda like in the cartoon show in relation to the Earth Kingdom (as opposed to the other side of the world like Japan) so she's about as far away as Elena would be in Jafaari/East Africa or Eldyra in Ulthaun.

Then Princess Mulan is far away in China, and Moana is in the Pacific Ocean type of area. So while correspondence with any of the Princesses is easy, actually meeting/meating them could be a challenge.

Current head canon as to relationship status anyways is... and in this setting, correspondence is really reliable. I guess the pigeon/owl/raven/dove messenger mail service is really good. Or the Prince has good access to magitech communications through crystal balls or scrying pools or something.

1. Princess Aubrey (Currently Un-Nobled): Has met in person, adventured with extensively. Probably had "relations" with already.

2. Princess Merida of Dun Broch: Correspondence. Maybe a visitation by the Prince to Dun Broch.

3. Queen Anna of Arendelle: Correspondence. Maybe a visitation by the Prince to Arendelle.

4. Fa Mulan of Chi-na: Correspondence. Unsure of how they met, probably heard tales of each others exploits. He might've sent her the first letters hearing about her and she responded.

5. Princess Azula of the Fire Nation: Correspondence. Doubtful they actually met yet though unless there was a State Function.

6. Princess Moana of Motunui: Correspondence. How the two of them learned of each other is probably a tale on its own because I can't think of an immediate reason. It'd likely have to do with his adventures or the like which made him aware of her.

7. Princess Elena of Jafari: Correspondence but she also met (and danced/trained/sparred) with the Prince while she was doing her diplomatic tour of the Empire.

8. Princess Eldyra of Tiranoc: Correspondence but she has also met the Prince, likely because she's traveling abroad from Ulthaun after getting spurned by the Phoenix King there and looking for new purpose.

9. Princess Margaery of House Tyrell: Correspondence and probably met a few times. Westeros and the Empire are pretty close culturally so they've met at various formal functions.

10. Princess Aranessa Saltspite of Sartosa: Correspondence and apparently on a recent adventure, the Prince rescued Aranessa Saltspite from a Maelstorm... which left an impression on the Daughter of the Sea God Manaan for a variety of reasons.

Oh and just FYI, there is a genuine attraction at the bare minimum with all of the Princesses. All of them "like" the Prince and aren't going into it for betrayal reasons or something. If chosen, they'd try and make it work because they want it to. Some like Margaery undoubtedly care about their family more, but I wouldn't expect her to go full Cersei Lannister mode because the Prince almost certainly isn't as bad a husband as King Robert Baratheon is for example.

So the reason I asked about my wife is because I was wondering how my son became so bad ass, also if I'm free to then go for another woman or not. If I'm single then I can have a mistress, if not well it would be a bad idea.

Not really sure. I'm assuming there is a Mother/Queen involved but the King's Marriage Status not clearly laid out. Like I might've said before, I was going to make it a thread about "You" the poster choosing a Princess but this seemed like it'd be a more fun way of exploring the question, as your debating what's best for your Son and the Kingdom, not your own personal loins.

Anyway my question is the empire I'm part of is it an electoral monarchy? So that means my son has a chance of being elected emperor if we can expand the empire by bringing in the clans through a Merida marriage?

Potentially. Dun Broch doesn't seem large enough to be four provinces however. If it was inducted into the Empire, it'd probably be just as one Province. The Empire is kinda based off of the Empire one in the Warhammer Fantasy and I don't think they've added many new Kingdoms since the Founding. I'm sure the Holy Roman Empire is different... but ultimately... incorporation of Dun Broch as a new Imperial Province would likely be the work of many years, so something that wouldn't be realized within just a generation. Dun Broch could be drawn into an alliance but it'd take a while before they could get elevated to an Elector ship. Could have more validity as a long term securing of legacy.

Probably something similar with say... Arendelle which is basically independent. But they're also too small to be their own Imperial Province as well. So if they unified for example, they'd probably just be seen as an extension of your Kingdom (unless Elsa does the sensible thing and bring the Northern Regions to heel under the Banner of Ice). :p

Sartosa is kinda close by but... that'd be a project. Wouldn't be the first time a Kingdom (or Empire) has pirate havens under its purview though. :p

Other places are probably too far away to incorporate into the Empire properly.

Ok like Kings Art I'm going to respond to these in character. and @Husky_Khan if it's ok with you, I'd like to see my character's son's response to this, as my character would be up for a debate. I'll make my responses in order

I'll try and respond as soon as I get the time to. Love the response!

True, but I feel some of them are more likely to fuck you over harder if the marriage goes bad. For example if the prince cheats Azula I can see using poison, but Anna I don't see her doing that. At worst she would divorce which WOULD cause a scandal but hey. I think it's more likely that she would just withold all affection.

Well I'm asking because I'm the King so I'm role playing. I'm pretty happy with my son as heir. But there is nothing wrong with wanting a spare in case the current one dies while adventuring or whatever then my dynasty is not screwed. If I still have my wife then it's ok I can have fun with her and even get safety in more kids, if I don't then I can get a mistress or whatever it's not relavent to this. Oh one question what is the religion of the empire? Is it like faux Christianity like in Dragon Age? Are there any big differances? I saw the councilor talking about elves not being gay. Does that mean that it's ok to get a Warhammer elf trap? Since they don't have weird heads? This apparently isn't gay.

Dun Broch could be one province though? And if it gets in then my family would have two electoral duchies under it's control. Though yes Arrendelle is small, though it at least seems prosperous, and hopefully your descendents might have magic like Elsa.

Oh, can I have an in character response from my son.
Yeah my plan to deal with the first potential bride Aubrey the grave robber is to offer her a choice. She can leave the child with my family if she wants to be free, or if she prefers I will buy her a house of good quality on my lands along with servants to take care of her and the child, the child will be able to visit the palace occasionally, but she herself would not be allowed to I don't want to give her access to my keep and risk getting poisoned. Also my son won't be allowed to visit her until he has a child born from the princess he is actually marrying. Would my son think that Princess Aubrey would agree to that.

Azula hasn't yet inherited but her highly likely rulership of the entire Fire Nation is a very significant dowry between their size, navy, and technology.
What degree of foreknowledge do I have? Because this isn't helpful if she loses all that when her brother and his allies successfully coups the Fire Nation from her father, then she tries to take over my nation as cannon fodder to take it back. Even if she doesn't, the given the Fire Nation's demonstrated foreign policy, population and military and technological prowess means they stand a good chance at said alliance colonizing us.
...let her be in a position where she can hold my kingdom hostage.
Ask Long Feng how that went, and that was without Azula having an advantage like an illegitimate heir as potential regent. Too late.

The Prince looks at what she is doing and listen's to what she says. He then says

I'm presuming I don't have any foreknowledge. Knowing Azula's going to have a complete mental breakdown, lose everything, and wind up a disgraced political prisoner would kinda affect my consideration of her suitability.
