So the big leftist regime that got voted in back in 2020 finally got its new constitution put up for a vote and got blown out 62/38. It appears that a lot of it has to do with how corrupt, inept, and scandalous the left-wing coalition has been. One Chilean poster on SV mentioned transvestites pulling Chilean flags out of their asses in front of children as a piece of pro-left "art". I'm still digging around for details, but its got the tankies hopping mad.

Worth mentioning a lot of media outlets were talking about how "polls" indicated a easy win with 70% predicted voting for the constitution.

How shocking, the polls lied.

Left wing governments are, by definition corrupt. They use corruption to control the bureaucrats and keep them in line. Its a dog eat dog world in politics, but in left wing governments often take to the next level. I wish I could say Right wing governments were better, and in some ways the are, but that's usually by a matter of degrees.

Power corrupts. Absolutely power corrupts absolutely. And no one is safe from being corrupted, thus checks and balances are needed. So long as the other branches of government are playing by the rules.

Its already starting to swing back that way. The thing is, this has been going on for decades and it takes time to turn things around.
