What if the future French King Francis I is born a girl in 1494 and French King Charles VIII still dies childless on schedule in 1498 while his successor Louis XII still dies sonless on schedule in 1515 and his successor *Charles IX (the former Charles IV, Duke of Alencon) still dies childless on schedule in 1525, thus making *Charles X (the former Charles III, Duke of Bourbon) the new King of France? What kind of French King would *Charles X have been and what would his reign have looked like in terms of domestic policy, foreign policy, et cetera? And who exactly would he choose as his new spouse after the death of his wife Suzanne in 1521?
