King Krávoka

An infection of Your universe.
So when I was much younger, I found a claymation cartoon that seemed to be the pride of its edit:Japanese animator according to its youtube description. The basic premise of the story was that humanity developed the technology to become immortal, with the side-effect of becoming sterile. To maintain a labor force, they developed artificial biological humanoids as a working class, who rebelled and ran off to the deeper levels of the megacity. This is all backstory. The premise is that the immortals want to find out what they've been doing, so they send a single man start an expedition that immediately goes wrong, the descent is botched and the protagonist is dismembered on landing, where he's found by a group of clones that bring his head to their scientist. He builds a diminutive robot body for the explorer, but the guy is amnesiac so they don't get much from him but a sense of awe for their old masters. After some other shenanigans, the protagonist flips to his normal self from a concussion, becomes needlessly aggressive, escapes, is dismembered again by a fall to a deeper and more mysterious level, and his still living head is picked up by a nomadic clone.
