Anybody here think they are the worst way for anyone to learn technical details or skills?

I sure do, I’ve been forced into their like for years and my family forces me into them

Take down notes? It looks like they’re speaking in another language!!!

I can’t even get to the very basics!!!

Reading For Dummies or Self-Help Books and watching Youtube Vids teach way more!

Don't worry, you're not alone.

Problem for me is that when a meeting is definitely meant to be real long, most of the time they’re not even using powerpoints with big fonts and there are multiple speakers

I lose any and all understanding a few minutes or seconds in, no exaggeration

I am supposed to “learn” from this stuff, haven’t for a decade, I’ve been brought to business meetings and have come out confused and highly annoyed

The texts they give to help understand what was being said are things I spend entire hours just to get to the 5th or 10th page

The way something is written or delivered really helps make basic points come across. Simply rapid fire saying of facts even in texts with zero enthusiasm or “conversation” kills me
