So I just finshed the book even if it a bit late.

Overall it was ok. The secondary characters where a bit flat. I did like the mian charater murderbot.

The main plot was decent and even had a few surpises. The world was fairly fleshed out and sounded like a decent sci fi death world.

Some lf the names make be cringe a bit. Murderbot and EvilSurvey just sound like a bad fanfic name.

It just didn't capture my attention very much.

For a nomation I will nominate

The Cinder Spires: The Aeronaut's Windlass
It is a Jim Bucher the same author as Dresden Files. I have read most of the Dresden File books but have never tried any of his others and this has been on my to read list for a while.

Since time immemorial, the Spires have sheltered humanity. Within their halls, the ruling aristocratic houses develop scientific marvels, foster trade alliances, and maintain fleets of airships to keep the peace.

Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship Predator. Loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy's shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels. But when the Predator is damaged in combat, Grimm joins a team of Albion agents on a vital mission in exchange for fully restoring his ship.

And as Grimm undertakes this task, he learns that the conflict between the Spires is merely a premonition of things to come. Humanity's ancient enemy, silent for more than ten thousand years, has begun to stir once more. And death will follow in its wake...

Alright, for my part I'll nominate Arrows of the Queen by Mercedes Lackey. A look at the early roots of wokeness from one of the more progressive writers in fantasy, way back in 1987.

So our nominations are:

Arrows of the Queen
by Mercedes Lackey
The Cinder Spires: The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher
Illusion by Paula Volsky
Off Armageddon Reef by David Weber
Spearhead by Adam Mikos.

If I missed your nomination let me know, otherwise poll will go up in a day or so.
