United States Biden's Ideas and Policies and Socialism

Just so everyone is clear about this State Funded Centralised Healthcare is NOT Socialism.

The oldest extant system in the world was set up in 1883 by Otto von Bismarck. If anyone thinks that Germany's Iron Chancellor was in any was a Socialist then I would have to enquire as to which bridge they would like me to sell them!?
Notably, at the time the Socialists voted against this. As they did many of his social measures.
(Old age pensions, unemployment insurance, sick pay, disability & accident insurance etc.)
There is a line in The Internationale warning about such things.

(It can be argued that comprehensive Social Security is little more than the modern interpretation of "Bread and Circuses" that the establishment has always used to control the mob. Bismarck's thinking was naturally more sophisticated than this with loftier, yet more practical, aims.)

"Socialism: Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy. "

Government control/ownership of the medical industry fits this definition.

Ah this appears to be a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation.

Government provided Healthcare is NOT an Industry it is a Service, just like any other service or function of government.

It is as much an industry as the Police, or Firefighters, or a Coastguard.

...I'm trying to figure out if you honestly do not realize this is a semantic and irrelevant distinction, at least in this case.
