You don't need historical conflict to have football hooligans murder eachother. And Croatian football hooligans are bad (Greek are not far behind) and also have tendency to cause shit in other sports as well. In Slovenia we had riots at alpine skiing and waterpolo games, because Croatian football hooligans decided it was a great opportunity to do some football cheering. At least Croatia is between us and Serbia, so we don't get Serbian football hooligans as well, as they are equally bad.

Well, this month is the anniversary of the controversial incident in what they call the Medal Pocket. It is also worth noting that Canadian peacekeepers attached to the UN operating in the former Yugoslavia have actually fought Croatian soldiers there.
