Aristocracy in America

Their concept for what the Confederacy was supposed to be was an Aristocratic Republic, with the elites filling that position. Long term I can see that sliding into no longer being constrained to the old Planter class but the White population at large, especially if they achieve the Golden Circle and concepts like the White Man's Burden still take root.
White Burden acting as a direct corollary for Noblesse Oblige. It would still work since the European population of the Golden Circle would be proportionally small enough to count as an effective aristocracy.

Either, preferred marrying into White families however and ultimately came to view themselves as White; they were also tri-racial, being both Black, White and Indian. Most nowadays look like your average White people, and even then too; depended on the area and local population.

Interesting. FWIW, some white people in Ohio still consider themselves to be black even right now, but Ohio abolished its own anti-miscegenation law in 1887 (and even before that, it was largely unenforced since the 14th Amendment's ratification in 1868 according to David Upham's research), so it's not comparable to the Southern US in this regard:

Here's David Upham's research on the 14th Amendment and anti-miscegenation laws, BTW:

In the years right after the 14th Amendment's ratification, there were some politicians and judges who believed that this Amendment nullified anti-miscegenation laws.
