I know your joking but I mean we've had unwoke war films recently.
Dunkirk, Hacksaw Ridge and 1917 etc.
I honestly... Am kinda ambivalent on it. Initially because I thought... Does it need a remake? But sure it looked good and earnest from the trailer.
Now what I really don't like from seeing the trailer is seeing the peace negotiation/Versailles scenes. Like... I prefer the events happening as a microcosm. Putting a greater context to the story from the top down IMHO would detract from the story. It might give purpose (as pointless as it might be) to the AntiWar message of the film in how pointless a lot of it was.
