Considering you could put Conan up against Aerys Kingsguard, backed up by Aemon the Dragon Knight, Oberyn Martell and The Mountain that rides and Conan would come out of it winded but "glad for the sport!"

I'm not really sure...anything happens except the North becomes known as "The Kingdom that does whatever the fuck it wants" because even Dragons won't phase them psychologically at least. Also their population would be enormous, Cimmerians ignore the cold and extreme heat alike. Shit, they have pretty crazy damage soak feats too, Conan sleeps off fatal injuries and the like.

You'd probably end up with a North, roughly equal with the Vale population wise.

Not much in-terms of actual economic power though, they were still hunter-gatherer-raiders and weren’t farmers or traders

Though contrary to pics of Conan in a loincloth, I am very sure they wear actual clothes and armor like Conan in the Robert E Howard stories

Though, man it’d be funny as hell if Catelyn “goes native”

Before anyone asks, there seems to be leather or brown cloth behind the chainmail

They would probably adopt civilization..when the Andals came through, even if they brutally no sold their invasions. I can see the Cimmerians taking advantage of rudimentary towns and the like. They would still be a very tribal society...no true lords or Kings.

But no one would be able to occupy them.

I think the Magnars of the Thenns in canon may not be a single line of descent like the Noble Houses in the rest of Westeros

Now that I think about it, without bloodlines, unless the Stark and other noble bloodlines are consistently extremely Badass or regularly marry whoever's Strong&Smart, I can't see Rickard thinking marriage would help with whatever Southern Ambitions he's got

Say, read any other Robert E. Howard stories? I think Bran Bran Morn's Picts were descendants of both the Picts & Cimmerians in Ireland
