Here's an interesting AHC for you: Have more Algerian-style outright annexations of colonies by Great Powers. FWIW, I think that Italian Libya and Puerto Rico are the most promising candidates for this; maybe Italian Eritrea as well. All of these territories had relatively low populations, after all. However, which additional territories do you think would have realistically qualified for this?

Maybe an eventual outright German annexation of sparsely populated Namibia could work for this? Even some of the blacks there still embrace German culture even nowadays, after all:
