Asia-Pacific 6.6 Earthquake Affects Taiwan

Very preliminary information and no reports of casualties or damage yet but both are likely.

It apparently centered on the Southeastern corner of the Island.

Not too long ago a 6.8 struck the Sichaun Province in China.

The earthquake was apparently of a 6.4 magnitude but fortunately so far there have been no immediate deaths reported.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Taiwan on Saturday night, but there was no immediate report of deaths.

One house (unoccupied) had collapsed and there have been temporary disruptions to rail service across portions of the island. Other than that, nothing grim to report.
