Honestly I HATE those sorts of speeches where they’re obviously taking multiple pauses to awkwardly read the speech

Even sounding improvised and sudden feels better

Particularly because Rep. Crenshaw did his speech fro the deck of battleship Texas, which is over 100 years old and is about to go in for a lot of drydock work. That ship's is the last of its kind, and has seen more of American history than any one alive, just the Constitution and Constellation.
