He's lucky he's not USC's head coach. Their schedule is gonna get Notre Dame on top of the meat grinder that is Big 10 football.

USC and Stanford play Notre Dame every year. One of them gets to host the Fighting Irish on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The other will be in South Bend, IN in October or late September.

My one question in all of this is WTH was Lincoln Riley thinking bolting from OU in the middle of the night to take the job at Southern Cal ?

Something tells me he's going to regret bailing from Norman.

A Notre Dame football player is wearing a gold helmet which includes actual gold as part of the paint recipe and was applied to the helmet by nuns.

And then there's "Touchdown Jesus". That is a giant mural on the side of Notre Dame's campus library which is visible when you're in Notre Dame's football stadium.

I mean you've got a good job at OU & have the benefit of the doubt of winning Big 12 championships, etc., & you get antsy & bail in the middle of the night to take a job at a school, whose football program is still in the dumps due to the sanctions ?

USC wrote a larger cheque and most people aren't willing to say "fuck it, no, I don't care" when presented with a large one.
