This is a map, in order for china's economy to exist if needs to sail their ships successfully past the first island chain which includes Japan, Tawian and the philipines all of which are hostle to them and are in an alliance.
Then they need to sail through the straits which is another series of stratigic choke points. Then they need to get past india then they need to get to the middle east choose a side in a centuries long blood feud and then get all of that oil back home to China on very slow fucking boats.
India with its location can shut down any and all oil trade to china at anytime. China in order to defeat this has to invade past one of the largest mountain ranges in the fucking world to attack a population that is younger and fitter then them. This is not a fight china is going to win.
As for pakastan they need to get the fuck over themselves and accept that they will never be a great power or even be Indias Equal and stop poking the elephant next door before it stomps them into the ground.
