    Pretty much. The cold mutates so fast everyone gave up on a vaccine ages ago. The flu vaccine is actually a collage of various viruses and it's meant to give us a broad span of protection. It's why I long have up on beating this virus. It has a good reserve in the population now.

    Polio and Vivid are two entirely different classes of virus. It's like comparing mammals and birds at that level. So they change very differently.

    Polio was probably the closest one I can think of beyond having the standard childhood vaccines everyone gets.
