It is a family name. This is like having a Brazilian with 'Silva" as his first name. There are family names that can be first names and vice versa(as well as names that started as personal ones and now are family names only), but Hennessy(or Guinness, for that matter) sure don't look like that.

Mercedes is a Spanish female name, though(the car brand was named after a woman). The others, though... Laquisha is a name that makes me think of a crack whore. Quantikka makes me think of a rodent, Patrone is "cartridge" in German, IIRC. The others are just plain bad.

An acquaintance from college named his daughter Galadriel and his son, Kal-El(as in Superman's Kryptonian name). I always knew he wasn't quite right in the head(a common thing on my acquaintances from college - but that's another story...), but I didn't know he was that fucked up.
