So apparently some Army bases are getting renamed

You really should. When I'm drunk and stupid I'm still smart enough to know that I should double check whatever stupid thing I just decided to share to at least make sure that I spelled things correctly.

So apparently some Army bases are getting renamed

It's much more common than you might think. Fort Soqualmie, Washington is where attempts to trace my ancestry end. My great-great-great grandfather most definitely wasn't a Native American because the two swords which have been handed down have Hirigana carved into them.

So apparently some Army bases are getting renamed

So apparently some Army bases are getting renamed

Brevet Lieutenant General Winfield Scott was from Virginia. The second person promoted to Lieutenant General after George Washington. The third was US Grant. "Old Fuss and Feathers". He was in charge of the entire US Army for two decades and the Union basically followed his outline of "here's...

So apparently some Army bases are getting renamed

My wife thinks that Lee was actually worse than McClellan because he couldn't actually defeat McClellan's caution and thinks that he was way worse than JE Johnston (i.e.:"Retreatin' Joe") because Lee turned JE Johnston's plans for the Seven Days into a clusterfuck where the Union was already...

So apparently some Army bases are getting renamed

I prefer it if they chose names based on something like a nearby town, landmark, or geographic feature that's not named after any one particular person.
