Russia-Ukraine War Politics Thread Mk. 2

What are you talking about? Ukraine has been widely and openly desperately low on artillery ammunition for months. There have been easily a dozen articles talking it about the last couple of months. In terms of air, well Ukraine basically doesn't have anything other then cruise missile delivery...

Russia-Ukraine War Politics Thread Mk. 2

A just cause doesn't magically let you regenerate combat losses forever. Combat in Ukraine costs both sides thousands of men and hundreds of pieces of equipment a month. Where is Ukraine going to continue to get their's? Russia has at least two years of current losses worth of equipment...

One side is conscripting old men and cripples while sending women to the tenches. It's not Russia.

So the statement was 10:1 this month, not for the war as a whole?

Ukraine is claiming to have killed something like over 500,000 Russians. You're honestly going to say that they've lost only 50,000 troops doing so? The same Ukraine that's currently loosing ground and looking to forcibly conscript over 200,000 people. There's not buying what the Russian MoD is...

Sure, but I was referring to why only two people are bailing out of a three man tank. Odds are someone died, not short crew.

My guy, generally that's because the driver is dead. Nothing to do with short crews, everything to do with how tanks are built. Drivers, in pretty much all tanks, are closer to the ground and the front of the tank and usually surrounded by fuel or ammo. For all the memes, an easy way to...

I legitimately don't understand the logic for Ukraine to target Russian navy assets. The entire Russian navy could sink tomorrow and it would barely effect the ongoing war. Why fire expensive, foreign imported cruse missiles at targets like that?

To be clear, the US never signed that treaty. So was never bound by it to begin with. At worst it brings Russia to parity with the US.

Didn't the Polish opposition win the election? More then likely they cancel those orders as they A can't afford it and B can't man the equipment even if they could afford it.

From what I recall, everyone was arrested by Russian police. All those rioters are likely to find themselves storming some Ukrainian minefield. Which makes the Russian response to pro Palestine riots/rallies the harshest yet.

Looking into it a little more it seems like it's half word games and half down scale. The super small number of new hulls are apparently made in Greece, so they can technically say that none are made in Germany without it being a lie. They are however making only low tens a year without any real...

Russia-Ukraine War Politics Thread Mk. 2

Rhienmetal admitted that they cannot build new tank hulls for an estimated 2-3 years. They can refurbish and modernize older ones but they don't have the tooling and trained workers for new builds. This was given in a statement by the company to the German government as a response to potential...
