At this point, I'm not sure the CHAZ will ever return to normal; at least, not fully. I suspect crime will be rampant in that area for years to come.

I would not be surprised if the mayor was simply posturing; I doubt she knows what to do about the CHAZ now that Trump hasn't fallen into their blatantly obvious trap, and I think she's hoping merely saying she'll break it up will let her stall for more time.

Meanwhile it just make me sad and angry that the only reason this is allowed to continue, is so that the regressive left can try and bait Trump into sending the military to crack down on it. Almost four years now, and the Democrats have wasted all of it doing little more than trying to undermine...

Oh no, I never had faith; I just assumed they were refusing to crack down on CHAZ because of tribalism.

In retrospect it was, but for some reason it just never clicked for me until I watched that video.

I think RazorFist is right; the CHAZ is bait to try and get Trump to send in the military. He might have to eventually, but I think he'll hold off for as long as possible.
