I'd agree with that last bit but I'd also point out that once again whether it's right or wrong there were plenty of people who suffered from association with trump, sometimes because of him or sometimes because of his opponents.

This is getting kinda wildly off topic. I will say that I never think one person or group engaging in bad behaviour ever justifies someone else behaving badly. I'm sure we could argue about who's worse and the reasons why different people did bad things, or about the effects of various things...
