Rekeita law stream having issues, was there a verdict yet?

I remain optimistic about the verdict.

Worst case, trying to hunt for pixels to justify their cowardice. Best case, trying to convince a coward or political holdout against acquittal.

I think the whole ballot or cartridge box thing is a bad framing, but I’ll put my thoughts on that in another thread.

Not really. The activist left can be thought of as made up of an alliance of 1) stupid/misguided idealists and people who are deferential to consensus (which can be manufactured by the media) 2) spiteful social rejects. You aren't going to win over 2, and 1 are won over by being made to feel...

Sorry, this wasn't intended as a response to you or anyone in the thread, I don't think there was prior discussion, just making a minor point that's topical here.

Minor issue but the counterprotestors buying burn, loot, murderers pizzas is unbelievably gay and retarded. These people burned cities for months, they terrorized normal law-abiding people, and now they are are trying to intimidate a court into sentencing an innocent man to life in prison. They...

The defense made motions for mistrial with prejudice a couple times. What's the non-hour-long-video version on how they "fucked up" with those, and what motion for mistrial with prejudice would have been granted.

Can't really disagree with something more. Binger was not a "law and order" or "tough on crime" republican. He's run as a democrat. He's working in the office of Michael Graveley, another democrat. I've been unable to find confirmation that they were funded in part by Soros, and part of his...

That the jury is not sequestered (if I'm remembering that right) is also part of why all the ridiculous bullshit about the defense throwing it, despite stuff like getting the prosecution's star witness to confess to pointing a gun at Rittenhouse before Rittenhouse shot him in self defense, is...

Worth noting here that I think mistrial, even without prejudice, would probably give Kyle further advantage in the future. The prosecutors have blown all their footage they didn't hand over to the defense, they've blown all the surprise FBI drone footage, etc. Obviously with prejudice would be...

If he's passing the buck, then I'm really doubtful he'd give mistrial with prejudice in the event of a conviction either, although it may be between acquittal and mistrial without prejudice.

Kind of agree, but the messaging here IMO should be that this is not a real fear. No jury has ever been targeted for an acquittal in a left wing political prosecution in America, I don't even think they ever got targeted during the 60s and 70s riots. Judges have been targeted, congress has been...

I don't really see it. Assuming acquittal on all charges, they'll write a billion articles about "double standards" and "wannabe milita" etc. and then left wingers in various offices and any position of power will use what power they can against him in little ways for the rest of his life. But I...

Yes, but I think it's important to look at how it actually operates. There are some actions that it can take and some it can't / doesn't. IANAL, but I'm pretty dubious that's how that works though. That'd have to be like the only case where it was illegal for the government to hold someone on...

My understanding is that it is not under the dual sovereignty doctrine. State and Government can try someone for the same crime, or for different crimes arising from the same facts. In the territories (PR in particular) my understanding is that this is not true, but obviously not relevant here.
