its not the speed....its the ability to casually change it by several thousand kilometers per second(and that's being conversative) a second and keep doing that in either gaining or losing it

It's not the sensors that matter. It's the shit that moves the gun to aim. Unless your telling me they can basically move faster than most modern CIWS tracking systems or at least the 5" mounts on modern ships on guns the size of sizeable buildings.... Mind you give impulse tech to the imperium...

I will note that Imperial warships basically as a rule don't crack 10Gs in acceleration. Meanwhile....it takes what maybe a few seconds to reach full impulse which is usually around 25% the speed of light? I don't know if the Imperium has the means to have their weapons track ships going that fast
