Honestly that's probably the role of a good half of her frigates which while not as fast as the Infinity are still way faster than anything the UNSC had during the War
Given how Mars was the home of a fair bit of industry in Halo it's safe to assume that it will be colonized especially since I imagine that many of the USNC's planets simply don't exist in our universe
On the positive side they're probably not going to like the crazy liberals since ya know the UNSC isn't exactly the most left leaning of organizations to say the very least
