Hm, so is there any particular reason why voter ID is not so big in the US? Democrat interference so they can get a "consistent" voter base? Or another reason? ID seems pretty common other here when it comes to voting.

Out of curiosity, what sort of ID? Over here when I voted in the recent PM and the earlier MEP election, you get sent a letter thing which you take to the poll and then someone at the poll will ask for your name and address before handing you a slip to tick. So something like that or something...
