Everything w/regards to "Climate Change" boils down to one component: control. And I'm even benevolent enough to assume that for the overwhelming number of the rank and file of the green movement (which at least in Europe, and especially in Germany, includes much of the media) it really is about...

Not really. The funny thing is: the former East is way more based and rightwing than the West. It's a mix of cultural marxism at play and the (somewhat necessary) emasculization of Germany in the wake of WW2.

Oh, climate lockdowns? I can see the Germans being totally on board with that, especially with regards to a likely Green party participation in the next government as an equal or even major partner.
