Considering they've been too chickenshit to send anything into Ukraine for a while now, I'm kind of curious what they have planned. I'm kind of hoping Ukraine manages to blow it all up on the ground, though.

The problem with using steel for armor though is that you often get spalling.

I severely doubt the Russians are using old maps for their targeting info. Those bridges that they did hit were probably specifically targeted. I also wouldn't be surprised if they targeted that playground - they've shot up women and children before on purpose, why would this be any different...

Kind of says something about people who go out of their way to shoot specifically at journalists, though. Be another thing if they accidentally got shot because they were mixed in with Marines or something.

Honestly the loss of those generals is making me wonder if there isn't some truth to that conspiracy theory ATP brought up about Putin using this as a way of eliminating perceived domestic threats to himself from his own army.

They may have had unrealistic expectation, but they're certainly a lot braver than most of the people on this board.

It's to take away cover. Hiding behind trees and shooting at people is how asymmetric warfare is done. It's a lot harder to do when there's no trees to hide behind. Also a certain amount of spite, I imagine.

And you can try to argue "both sides" and "what about" all you want, the fact is Russian troops intentionally fired on civilians and killed them, while conducting a war of aggression on the country those civilians were citizens of.

Except, again, the car stopped far short of the Russians. If the point was to attack them, one would expect the vehicle to charge right on in, not stop 50 feet short of them. So, again, I'm going to say it's an intentional targeting unless the Russians can show otherwise.

I don't see how them blowing away a sedan could be seen as anything other than deliberate targeting. Also, the car stopped far short of the armored vehicles, seemingly as soon as the driver saw them, yet the Russians still fired at the completely stationary car multiple times.

I'm honestly surprised there wasn't more commentary on that old couple who got blown away by the Russians for no reason.
