I'm the opposite. While Plinkett is a lot knitpickier than I am, most of his points are valid, and one of them is the fight choreography. It looks like something out of an anime. I much prefer the fights in the OT. Agree with you about the sequels, though.

Being made for children is not an excuse for being bad. This is literally the same excuse used by the woke crowd to defend everything they've ever done to any of these franchises. Avatar: The Last Airbender was made for children and had some very good writing.
