Me? President? With a harem of Waifus and Lollis? I give off such Dirty Old Man vibes? LOL! The Bundeskanzlerin had such power over Kaczyński, Morawiecki etc. due to money. EU=Germany For all its yipping against Gayropa PiS never did anything seriously endangering the inflow of funding from...

I have no idea, I was not even aware of these (I have gaps in my knowledge, it seems :)), but the people on DWŚ would know (they know everything): I even found a thread about those manouvers: https://www.dws.org.pl/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=137816&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=manewry+wo%C5%82y%C5%84skie...

The contemporary squad level AT weapons are 150m :) The LAW/RPG-7 etc. all are good for about that distance. The decapitation strike buys buys at least half a year, probably longer, of the USSR sorting out the "who is in control" issue. Poland needs time, desperately, to start up production of...

BTW - IMO the Soviet Question can be resolved Israeli style by bombing Lenin's Tomb during the October Revolution parade on 7.XI when the whole Soviet leadership is on it. Don't tell me that a few F-16's cannot do it ...

The BWP-1's cannon is not that much of an oddball. Everybody was looking at "artillery/cloose-support" tanks with short barrel c.75mm cannon/howitzers. Good point about rivers. Although here I'd be more worried about the lack of bridges east of the Bug and Niemen than higher water levels. For...

Poland can make 155mm artillery? I thought that there was no tooling for barrels above 122mm? Well, live and learn ... BMP/BWP-1 is a tank to the enemy in 1939. Forget about swimming and bolt on/weld extra armour to the sides and you are good against 20mm AT guns - that's enough.

DT people will be astonished by somebody bearing the name "Dawid" and NOT being Jewish. As an older person I'm still baffled by this myself ... Until the 1980s Dawid stood amongst Baruch, Szmul, etc. as an "ethnicity indentifier" name. Śmigły-Rydz should be shot for cowardice and abandoning his...

MG-42 documentation was destroyed at the end of the war. The post-war MG-3 was made by measuring surviving MG-42's. @Batrix2070 correction, some sources say "taken by Soviets" and not destroyed. Does not alter Rheinmetal having to reverse engineer the thing. And not MG-3 but MG-1 - the former is...

Having plans i.e. blueprints/documentation is VERY important. Reverse engineering sometimes works - Soviets with B-29 or the Germans with the MG-42, and sometimes it doesn't - e.g. USA with the MG-42. As to reverse engineering jets - look at Chinese efforts - a mixed bag AFAIK, and not very...

I had to dig around - you mean the VK-1 not KV-1 ... Whether by measuring examples in museums or using possibly surviving documentation, still a year or two before mass made. But I guestimate it to be fully possible. And, in the late '30s, a war winner :)

Recreating production lines means making machines to make machines to make machines. As well as making machines to produce specific grades of steel or other metals or alloys ... It isn't "hop siup i do przodu" :P What do you mean by KV-1 which became Lis-2? As to gold - Poland produces 3...

[In Boromir voice] Poland has no battleship. Poland needs no battleships. All Poland needs for the Baltic is helicopters and submarines

Small arms - Poland rules the world and should have factories working three shifts for a decade or longer to meet export orders. The Orlik needs militarisation - self sealing tanks, guns, armour - that means weight and that means degraded performance. Has been not in production for over 15...

Apparently Poland is still making the 9-cylinder radial Wright Cyclone 1820: https://www.wsk.kalisz.pl/products-and-services/aircraft-engines/ use it! Due to lack of supply chain don't expect the resumption of manufacture of existing jets and turboprops ever (i.e. 10 years or longer). Dumbed...
