Interesting video. I spied at some point a red T-shirt with the Albanian eagle :) Sicily, Apulia, Calabria - fits with what I read that it were the poorest of the poor who went to USA. The cheapest tickets were for there. The richer people from Veneto or Lombarda went to Argentina or Brazil...

For me Italian songs have been ruined by the Girls und Panzer anime, now there is only one Italian song to rule them all and in darkness bind them: I love the scene at 0:50 - Italian Japanese 40kg girl LARPing as Italian girl stronk! <3

I often give a similar explanation about English words - "it is pronounced so and so, but there are dialects where it will be pronounced differently, so don't sweat over getting it perfect" :)

I see a few things wrong with that image - and suspect more. Where in April-May 1943 and in such terrain were any US "Coloured" troops engaged against Germany? And first of all - howitzer, not mortar shells.
