    Not Europe, at least, as there was no free exchange of wealth. The too much of economic exchange in feudal europe was the enslaved peasant (called a serf) giving taxes to the feudal lord. The guilds further distorted the free market.

    Did he actually argue that (I don't really have time to go listen to it now)? I could see the end of globalism, but not capitalism (the exchange of goods/services for money). Also, the growth of capitalism comes from innovation, and I don't see why that would end.
