First, the company transcribed the entire game (released in the '90s) into modern graphics. As something of a diehard gamer of the original, I can easily tell the difference... ... it was one of my first city-builders outside of Sim City 3000.

Well, the Majesty series isn't that graphics-heavy, although you might be a bit put off by 2's art design (although, to be honest, it's an improvement to 1's in certain respects like showing what tier of weapons and armor your heroes are using).

Two words for you guys: Majesty 2. :) DnD style fantasy kingdom simulation for the win. ;)

I recently got an abandonware copy of Enigma: Rising Tide and... it's a different experience.

Sword of the Stars 1 (currently using the ACM mod) and Sword of the Stars 2. SotS 2 is actually pretty good, despite its quirks. Hopefully, if the needed signatures are acquired, they use the fleet mission system to replace the shitty system of SotS 1.

Actually, as a player of the first Evil Genius game, the world map is the worst part of EG1, at least EG2 actually makes sense in comparison. It even tells you that your minions on the world stage actually take their cut and leave, which makes things easier. Still has the disappointingly low...
