Frankly, they're becoming as bad as the staff members seen on Other Sites in what was supposed to be a new start and refuge from the sheer insanity of Those Sites.
I have no trust remaining in them. I do not believe they act in good faith any longer. Every action of theirs is now to be scrutinized for an agenda than fairness.
Congratulations: you went power-hungry and shit the bed in less than a year. Our detractors must be laughing at how you've basically taken a knife to the forum's throat and are slowly running it across the jugular.

In essence? Zoe, the old owner/admin, decided that the site wasn't going in the direction she wanted, so she basically tried to sabotage it/shut it down.

She wanted a "Venetian Coffee House" sort-of deal (unrealistic pipe dream), but the forum evolved into how it is now... which, ya know, since this site's core membership are basically those kicked from other sites because we weren't Leftist NPCs, is to be expected.

IIRC?

She and the other admins were more concerned about the reputation of the forum as a business venture, to bring in that eventual moolah, so it effectively influenced every decision they made in terms of policy and moderation actions.

You can see the problems already, right?

In the end, the current owner bought it from them for, IIRC, $1.00, and Zoe and her friends basically rage quit in disgust that the forum users weren't marionettes on strings to create her "Coffee House". shrug
