While Hitler was, ironically, Far Left (and not Far Right as many people like to say these days, especially when trying to divorce the modern Left/Far Left from historical connotations and portraying anyone against them as being "evil Far Right"), it honestly wouldn't shock me if in the next ten, twenty years, a lot of countries in the West end up having more and more "Far Right" values taking over... Which is obviously a complete mixed bag and another shit show in itself, but again if it's a way out of the current clusterfucks going on, people would take it.

People forget that ordinary people voted him in, perhaps with some political meddling added in, but none the less he was allowed power.

No, they even talk about the hyperinflation, how France casually bullied it, and how people were fed up with unemployment, political chaos, and inflation. Or more importantly, how hard they were seething over defeat in WW1.

Even a MCU film, the epitome of shallow entertainment, acknowledges that the Germans were smarting over said defeat.

Yes, those were the other and related factors I mentioned which helped Hitler get into power. They like to gloss over the social issues plaguing post-World War 1 Germany at the time which also influenced people's decision to support him.

Personally I consider Hitler far left economically (or at least state capitalist) and far right culturally.

Its usually used at least somewhat in jest, the point of the meme is 'Maybe that Hitler guy isn't so bad compared to this bullshit'.

That Germany was a mess during the Weimar Republic will be discussed, but the fact that that mess was designed and operated by leftists/progressives, with the same kinds of moral degeneracy and substitution of dogma for effective government policies, is often not mentioned, much less focused on.

I have heard historians giving presentations mention how in Berlin, there were publicly known brothels offering children and animals for sexual purposes.

A startling number of people don't know that the entire reason that mess happened in the first place was because the Communists overthrew the Kaiser. And came this close to turning Germany into a Stalinist state.

That would have been a disaster. The Unions would never have let the Allies fight a Germany that was committing its massacres under the bloody banner.
