Oh I am almost positiveIIRC some of the canned Fallout games (the original 3?) had it revealed Vaulttech kicked off the war on purpose because they were going all Institute/Movie Umbrella.

You say it'd have horrible penetration values but the basic round was over penetrating everything but power armor and no it wasn't explosive rounds, the rounds were pinging off the power armor.I mean, could just be Frag or explosive rounds for things like 357 magnum.
No pistol would be more powerful then a 7.62 unless your shooting something like 500 win mag or the like.
Which if he is...is not very good for power armor to defeat.
For instance, I will get the video later, a 4 Guage shot gun obliterates a human head via ballistics gell dummy.
So. 500 win mag would be the closest to that kinds pistol.
Edit: after close look, that is a stupid looking revolver and makes no sense. The barrel look to be decently sized, could honestly be similar to a Taurus judge taking shotgun rounds eith it being a 4 barrel.
500 might be to small, maybe some sort of shotgun Guage by the look of it.
So possible, but that would mean it had absolutely horrendous oenerration values
Almost same idea in the show, the show though had them argue that what way to have maximum profits then to control everything after the apocalypse?IIRC some of the canned Fallout games (the original 3?) had it revealed Vaulttech kicked off the war on purpose because they were going all Institute/Movie Umbrella.
We only see the nukes in the first episode. Most of the flash backs is just the personal life of the Ghoul.
Speaking of which the Ghoul is probably the most powerful ghoul in the entire Fallout setting. Dude solo's multiple BOS fire teams supported by Knights (at once and again by himself) he did this with mild effort and with no serious injuries.
A clear retcon to try and sell the show in China, because the entire rest of the lore heavily implies it was the CCP who screwed over mankind.
Even the worst penetration around will over power everything. You say it'd have horrible penetration values but the basic round was over penetrating everything but power armor and no it wasn't explosive rounds, the rounds were pinging off the power armor.
Probably some weird technobable super hand canon.
Thing is there's nothing indicating it's bad at penetration, its raw power makes up for it's inefficiency.Even the worst penetration around will over power everything.
For instance, the 4 g I was talking about...it is not a rounds made for penetration and didn't go through steel but destroyed everything else not armor wise.
Until we can qualify what the round is, we can easily use what we do know to work based off of what it can do.
We can compare for instance what a tank does to a body with AP vs what every known caliber does.
Will get the videos when i have tbe time.
IIRC it was the Van Buren version of Fallout 3, canned in 2003 that had Vaultec being the ultimate masterminds. You say it'd have horrible penetration values but the basic round was over penetrating everything but power armor and no it wasn't explosive rounds, the rounds were pinging off the power armor.

Which is some stupid evil ass stuff lol
I was wrong, it's a 4 BORE rifle.Thing is there's nothing indicating it's bad at penetration, its raw power makes up for it's inefficiency.
Plus it's still impacting enough fire power to launch people off their feet name me one hand held non explosive projectile weapon that can launch a person off their feet.
That custom revolver is impacting more energy then any armor piercing round ever developed and even the best armor piercing pistol rounds aren't going to be better at destroying armor than something that is casually outputting tens of kilojoules.
It's like saying a 9mm is better than an Elephant Gun.
I was wrong, it's a 4 BORE rifle.
Not 4 Guage.
Has enough power to break a steel target on a wooden post.
Do I think his pistol is THAT powerful? Maybe.
But it also has horrible penetration due to sheer size. A 50 would be better at penetration of the steel, where a steel 4 bore is a lot more force in a general area.
It was made to stop charging cape buffalo...
Van Buren was literally FO2 BUT YOU GO TO SPACE so I don't really care for it. Like, really, it had a supervillain plan to cleanse the world of humanity with a bioweapon ... but he was living in a space station instead of an oil rig so it was totally original.IIRC it was the Van Buren version of Fallout 3, canned in 2003 that had Vaultec being the ultimate masterminds.
That was meant to be in VB, but that game got canned so ...Also, apparently the Enclave didn't think the Vaults would actually save anyone, so their own contingency plan was to take over a space centre and launch off into space?
I may watch it cause the Enclave exist.
Favorite faction.
So I guess it's only fair to retcon FO3-4, and keep the timeline FO1-2-NV. Woo!
They'll probably follow up on the Enclave in Season 2.
Right now the Brotherhood are the dominant factiom across all of Fallout, we might see a "nicer" Enclave and some NCR Remnants team up if the Brotherhood keeps going down their fucked up ways.
Or Vault Tech is gonna pull something out there ass to kick the BOS.
They're kinda painting Vault Tech as its own separate faction, a Post War Vault Tech and considering just one of their cronies got access to a nuke and were able to successfully deploy it I wouldn't be surprised if they become a boogy man faction.I am skeptical of this.
So sort of this shows version of the Institute from Fallout 4 then??They're kinda painting Vault Tech as its own separate faction, a Post War Vault Tech and considering just one of their cronies got access to a nuke and were able to successfully deploy it I wouldn't be surprised if they become a boogy man faction.
More or less but instead of "Anyone can be a synth!" It's "Anyone can be a Vault Tech double agent!"So sort of this shows version of the Institute from Fallout 4 then??
Makes sense I mean we know there were opikpo122 Vaults built but....who was keeping track and how many more could have been built on the sly? Say proper, long term Vaults for Vault Tech leadership? Why should they live with the riff raff?
