Yeah, this just reinforces my view that something was fishy as fuck about this entire World Cup (and, no, it's not because I'm salty that a single £10.00 bet didn't win smh).
But something doesn't smell right in the sewer, and it's not just the rancid shit.
- The underdogs basically constantly won versus the favourites; a few times is understandable, but almost all the matches across like a dozen teams?
- The favourite teams' play qualities either were shit all match or rapidly degraded in the second half (often near the end) to the point of it all being straight from a high school drama student class -- the final with Argentina being an example -- which coincidentally allowed the other team to either win or draw to penalties
- When underdog versus underdog did happen, the same thing happened but with the favoured underdog seemingly "taking a dive" to the lesser team across all such matches
- Almost all games went to penalties, even after ludicrous amounts of extra time; a few is understandable, but most of them? Nah, bro.
