Realistically, just integrating parts, or all of, Canada and Mexico into the US and directly handling shit might be the best way to save the best of what's left of all 3 countries.
It's gotten to the point where Canada is a facist hellhole or on the way to being one, the US is a banana republic with nukes, and Mexico is...well, there's a psudo-proxy war with the CCP in Mexico with the cartels and Federales, plus the odd Hezbollah or ISIS infil attempt. If we ever do manage to oust our establishment elites from power here in the US, the Canadian government is going to start treating us like an existential threat. Assuming they're not ousted in turn, we can pretty much kiss peaceful relations with Canada goodbye, for several generations at minimum.
