Of course. The people of China have suffered enough under the CCPMind you the human cost of the thing breaking would be horrible. Which is something I'm not exactly wishing happens for ya know obvious reasons.

Of course if the thing does break I don't think the CCP staying in power would be a thing by the second half of the decadeOf course. The people of China have suffered enough under the CCP
oh for sure. It will be the end of the CCPOf course if the thing does break I don't think the CCP staying in power would be a thing by the second half of the decade
Especially since they built the thing. I still don't get what they were thinking on that one.oh for sure. It will be the end of the CCP

I'm not a fan of China, but a ton of people dying due to floods is not what I would call "on the positive side of things."On the positive side of things if it breaks there goes China as viable competition to the US for the next couple decades.
It is more that it would basically make them no longer a major competitor in the world stage. It is sad people will die, but it would make perhaps a rebellion inside the country.I'm not a fan of China, but a ton of people dying due to floods is not what I would call "on the positive side of things."
It's terrible but one country's loss is another's gain. Someone fills in the gap.I'm not a fan of China, but a ton of people dying due to floods is not what I would call "on the positive side of things."
And then building it on a fault line wasn't a good idea either. Nor was not insisting on the highest possible quality of work and materials and shooting anyone who disagreedIm going to have to second it, building a massive dam in the middle of one of your navigable rivers is a stupid economic decision its like us damning them middle of the missippi it fucks transportation and causes harm.

Because Mao Zedong wrote a poem about how great it would be.Especially since they built the thing. I still don't get what they were thinking on that one.
He did the poem to get people to do it, Three Gorges Dam had been discussed since the 1930's, I think.Because Mao Zedong wrote a poem about how great it would be.
I’m not joking.
Strange nobody noticed this at the time.

Who? There was noone left undecided. Why didn't he mention that? It would make more voters rise up.
Back during the presidential debates he could've mentioned the patriot act and how he's going to just let it expire.Who? There was noone left undecided.
