You are a Tau Governor, what artifact do you pick to help your faction survive in 40k

ROB transports you to a newly colonized Tau Colony that is 100,000,000 strong in citizens with 20% Being trained military and the rest civilian.

You are a Human Governor in charge of creating a Sector Defense force for your star system and several neighboring ones while also tithing 10% of your starting military resources every ten years.

ROB offers you one of the Following artifacts that give you a boone to help you thrive, you must decide which is most beneficial to you.

1) The Vex Spear. (Destiny)
Definition: With this spear shaped object the wielder can open a Vex incursion on the planet or ship they are on, unleashing millions of Vex platforms and thousands of gates with each gate summoning a dozen Vex every minute. The Vex Gates will continue to spawn units indefinitely until destroyed, all Vex will prioritize attacking Tau forces last, this spear has no cool down but if it were to be destroyed it will be unrepairable.

2) The Marker (Dead Space) your scientists get marker schematics beamed to their head, only you and the Alien Tau are immune to the Markers insanity rays and Necromorph production. These Necromorphs will ignore your alien species but attack every other (Ork/Tyranid/Eldars/Human) and are immune to Chaos Influence or Corruption. The more Markers you build the stronger their conversion to the point that if there are hundreds of Markers present the Tyranids go insane and turn into Necromorphs.

3) The Alliance Sigil, you form a coalition with the following three alien races.

Independence Day Aliens, Pacific Rim Precursors, Star Wars Composite Separatists.

The price for this alliance is you must share conquered territory with them. There will also be in fighting where you have to occasional side or persuade one of the three factions and if you fail enough times an alliance member could leave.

4) The Divine Banner (Destiny), with this Banner in your possession you get the absolute control of composite Elinski. In addition to having every known House in their prime under your command and several caches of Destiny Golden Age Humanity weapons or Resources (Gravity Lances, Fusion Rifles, Glimmer, Spinmetal, ect) you will have access to SIVA and Stasis Priests, that can teach other Tau how to wield it's power.

There will also be a 20% chance every six months of a Fallen Ketch and their Scavenging crew finding one to six previously undiscovered STC's and 50% chance of finding one already discovered STC

So of these options which do you pick?

Hmmm but 1&2 are probably the best for dealing with armies, and the Markers will basically be psykers that attack enemies.

Very useful if a ill prepared Crusade is arriving cause then you'd get Necromorph space Marines.

No,they are not.Everything which either corrupt all not Tau or attack them last is no-go,becouse Tau is big on adding other species.
And,for that reason,4 would be best.

What about 3 tho.

3 is much stronger than 4.

The only thing I know for real is 3 because I know about Star Wars. The CIS droid armies would be very useful for the Tau to grow greatly. Because with those numbers of droids you could rival the Imperium. But 4 is also tempting because you said we could find human STC? The Dark Age of Technology had all sorts of goodies.

Yeah you can find Human STC but it's only a chance.

You could go years without getting one possibly decades if you have bad RNG so the main contribution will be the Fallen themselves and what ever tech they bring STC's are only a gamble and something you can leverage in trades.

I agree. 3 would be the safest, especially if there was some sharing of technology. Independence Day aliens and SW ships would have a hard time dealing with space travel in 40k. ID because they either have no FLT or it's very slow, SW because they can only use pre-plotted hyperspace routes, which in SW have been perfected over tens of thousands of years.

I just read it again, at first I thought it was every year, but it's every 6 months. The Imperium is SLOW, like their response to any incursion could take centuries. So we are guranteed to get good stc. 20 percent chance of finding it but there is a 50 percent chance it was a pre owned one. So subtracting we get a 10 percent chance every 6 months of getting a new STC this could be shit like a spiranza Battleship that can destroy entire battlefleets of the modern Imperium.

But once hyperspace routes are plotted it is a better method than warp travel.

Absolutely, but Warhammer 50k just doesn't have the same ring to it.
What about the Fallen from Destiny?

In normal Galaxy i would agree. In WH40? they would start falling to Chaos when they come there.
So,option 4 is only safe to use.
