Founder
Yoshitaka Murayama was fifty five years old, passing away from an ongoing illness.

He was best known for working with Konami on the creation of the Suidoken series of RPG games. Suidoken was first released in 1995, with a sequel coming out in December 1998, reportedly in part to challenge Square's extremely popular release of Final Fantasy VII.

Suidoken III
was set to be released in 2002 but in mere weeks before the release, he left the company though he later stated it was on good terms. He then set up his own company, Blue Moon Studios which released the shooter 10,000 Bullets in 2005. He was working on the Eiyuden Chronicles, a new RPG series when he passed away.

One of his design philosophies was his focus on creating memorable and important side and supporting characters who often moved forward the main story as much as the protagonist.

Tragically, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, is set to release in the next few months.

A complete Suidoken series retrospective.
