So which team do you pick to Defend against the other attackers?

Imo I'd pick Team Fallout, Team Resident Evil and Team Halo.

Edit: Defending Teams get 24 hours prep time to set up prior to the attacking teams attacking all at once.

Attack teams will spawn outside of the base 100 meters.

This thread is right up my alley with the threads I used to poop out (though yours is far more smartererer) and I'm beginning to see why I got so few responses. There is a lot to unpack here. :p

I picked Fallout because Sole Survivor has to be a canonical genius to help build parts of a teleporter and their own settlement robots. I figure with the base assets they can build some wacky defenses with the prep time.

And 60 Spartans with Snipers will need all the over penetration they can get to deal with the sheer incoming numbers.

Well hmmm... maybe the best way to do this is sequentially.

I had to google what a ONI Headhunter was and meh... they seem alright. Probably regretting this. But I'm actually not big on "Super Super Soldier types." Master Chief is cool and all and Marines are pretty Marineish. I really don't see the utility of the M12 Warthogs driving around the interior of an X-Com Base though... that would be extremely fun with Halo physics.

But I'm passing on Team UNSC.

Leader: General RAAM (Troika, 900 Kryll, 4x Bolo Grenades)
40x Berserkers
20x Corpsers
2,000x Locust Drones (Hammer Burst II's, Bolo Grenades)
300x Boomers (Boomshots)
100x Kantus Priests (Gorgon SMG's)

They got numbers and are individually formidable but I was never big on the Locusts to be honest. Some of them are pretty keen but most... aren't. Don't think they'd be team players. Master Chief > General RAAM

Maybe but... pass.

Next time gimme the COG... Carmine Family Team!

Leader: ST-series droid officer Kalani
9,750x B1 Battle Droids (E-5 Blaster, Thermal Detonator)
1,250 Heavy B1 Battledroid (E-5C Blaster, Sentry Gun & Shield)
800x B2 Battle Droids (Repeating Blaster, Wrist Rockets)
350x Droid Commando's (E-5 Blaster, Vibro Sword, Smoke Screen, Thermal Vision)
150x Droideka
250x Magna Guards (Electro Staffs & Rocket Launchers)

Intriguing... they got numbers including almost ten thousand combat effectives. Lot of numbers. And the upper level droids aren't anything to scoff at.

Maybe... The leader is kinda unimpressive comparatively though.

Leader: Primaris Captain Titus (Bolter, Chainsword, Iron Halo, Astartes Armor)
160x Cadian Guardsmen (Carapace Armor, Las Rifle, 10 are Combat Medics)
24x Ultra Marine Astartes (Bolter, Chainsword, Iron Halo, Astartes Armor, Not Primaris)
8x Battle Sister's (Standard Equipment, Power Sword and Heavy Flamers)

Only reason I would choose these guys is so I can get legions of 40Kers telling me how every Space Marine has ten thousand years of combat experience, Matrix style bullet timing, invincible starship level armor and they could down Galaxy-class starships and ISD's by just firing their bolters into the air and swiss cheesing them until they crash on top of them, and they'll just jump jet through the wreckage.

Your average Imperial Guardsmen meanwhile carries a man portable armor piercing autocannon with nigh impenetrable armor, GI Joe muscles and are all the equivalent of Tier One Special Operators only with far more combat experience and higher morale.

On that factor alone, MAYBE!

Leaders: War Hero Sole Survivor (X-01 Power Armor, Laser Gatling, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Grenades)
500x Pre-War American Soldiers (Combat Armor, Laser Rifles, 10mm Side Arm, Grenades, Pipboys, Rippers)
100x Mister Gusty's (Medic Build)
100x Sentry's (Laser Gatling and Missiles set up)
100x Assaultrons (Stealth feature implemented)
200x T-51 Heavy Infantry (5mm Mini Guns as Primary, Plasma Rifles as Secondary)
100x T-60 Heavy Infantry (Heavy Incinerators as Primary and Flamer as Secondary)
90x Adult Cazadors
90x Chameleon Death Claws
270x Young Cazadors
10x X-42 Robo Scorpions

This seems like a pretty well balanced team led by a Hero Protaganist which is superior to many of the other leaders presented here. I'm actually not sure how effective the Cazadors will be compared to some of the other groups, but I like the invaders encountering X-42 RoboScorpions as mini Boss Battles in various X-Com base chambers. And one of the Assaultrons maybe destined to becoming my Robo-Waifu or something. Upload those personality matrices! The Gutsies Drill Sergeant Medic builds will be useful as well. And they can help clean up everything later and take the Cazadors out for (leashed) flights around the neighborhood.

YES!

Leader: Alcatraz (Typhoon, Crynet Nanosuit 2)
Raptor Team (Standard equipment)
300x Ceph Grunts
200x Ceph Devastators
100x Ceph Stalkers
50x Ceph Guardians

Nah.... Pass. Mainly because I was kinda disappointed by Crysis 2 so I never played Crysis 3.

Leader: Albert Wesker
Wolfpack Squad
10,000x T-Virus Zombies
1,000x Lickers
300x Neo Umbrella J'avo Soldiers (100 Uzi, 100 Machine Gun, 100 RPG)
Ustanak, Ubistvo, Heisenberg, Dimitrescu, Nemesis (Reboot and Original), Krauser.
30x Slav Republic Tyrants

Lickers are adorable, but there is a distinct lack of Hunter Alphas. And I would also have to deal with Albert Wesker... who I don't know if I could stand being around. The guy is literally just sunglasses. Wolfpack Squad is pretty cool though... and all of those other named heroes. I get both Nemesis!!! And the Slav Republic tyrants... maybe... just maybe I'll take this team and dispose of Albert Wesker quietly. He has to follow my orders right? I can think of disposing him in some sort of suicide mission. Maybe he can confront those Space Marines.

Okay maybe...

Leader: Karl Bishop Wayland
1x Xenomorph Queen
500x Xenomorph Warriors
300x Weyland-Yutani Combat Androids (M59/B Smartguns)
300x USCM Marines (Even mix of M42C Scoped Rifle, M41A/2 Pulse Rifle and ZX-76 Shotgun)
30x "Elite" Predators (Standard Equipment, Disc Blade + Combi Stick + Plasma Caster + Plasma Mines)

*checks*

Karl Wayland is less useful than most but from the AvP Movies Lance Henriksen made him seem pretty amiable so I guess he's not that bad. Certainly not annoying as fuck as Wesker. Or 40K partisans.

Plus it's well balanced. I get the Predators, the Xenomorphs and the Marines and COMBAT ANDROIDS.

Leader: Soldier 76
Mercy
Torb
Reinhardt
Echo
Genji
Mccree
Mei
Pharah
Sojourn
Tracer
Winston
Ana

Heroes are scary but we got only thirteen peeps here. The main advantage would be the braininess of some of the individuals here, like Torb and Winston but I'm not sure how effective they'd be. The rest are just badass fighter types with interesting and unique abilities. The main asset would be denying the attackers such a versatile force and that is the only reason I would consider taking this team. They would be more of an asset AGAINST me then an ASSET for me. Denial basically.

*ponders*

Oh it's a maybe.

So I'd go with Team Fallout for sure.

Team AvP, Team Resident Evil and Team Seperatists and Team 40Gay as strong maybes.

Team Overwatch as a lesser Maybe.

Passing on the rest.

So who would compliment Team Fallout best against these enemies.

Team 40K is short on numbers to be honest. And the Seperatists will give me a lot of metal meatshields as well as versatile units with the Commandos and Droidekas and Magnaguards. Super Battledroids are alright but.. I'm not sure if they are clearly formidable or not compared to some of the others.

Team Resident Evil though has a lot of numbers. And a thousand Lickers. I could tie and bog down enemy forces with the zombies, even spread the T-virus amongst the enemies. Plus I have so many BOW's to play with.

Okay... Team Fallout, Team Resident Evil and....

I think in a straight up fight 40K might defeat Team AvP, at least on most Versus forums, but do I want to sully myself with that association? No... I don't. So Team AvP versus Team Star Wars. I think RE gives me the numbers and Team AvP would compliment it more.

I want a professional force at my core and six hundred Colonial Marines and Combat Androids would be a boost. The Xenomorphs are fun. The Predators are great for ambushing upper tier troops. And the Queen can poop out more eggs potentially so guard your faces!

Okay... Team Fallout, Team Resident Evil (minus Wesker lol) and Team AvP are my main choices.
