What If? What if the SDF-1 Crash lands on Star Trek Earth.

In this scenario by act of ROB the SDF-1 exits hyperspace in Earth orbit. I follows the same crash trajectory and slams into an Island that would be Macross Island in the Robotech Universe. Starfleet immediately sends teams to investigate the crash. They soon realize that it is of intergalactic origin. So the Starfleet Corps of Engineers get to work studying the ship. After 5 years they realize the ship can be salvaged. They immediately get to work making it Space Worthy again. 24th Century technology is incorporated into the massive ship. On launch day. The ship fires a signal into deep space which alerts Breetai's Battlefleet. A force of 1,000 Zentraedi ships enter the system to seize the SDF-1. The Enterprise D is recalled to Earth to help defend the planet. After a few shots fired Picard manages to talk the Zentraedi down. Breetai agrees to the ceasefire and stands down. After some time of being exposed to Earth Culture. Many Zentraedi petition to join the Federation. Starfleet seeing the potential of the Zentraedi to the defense of the Federation accepts. What happens from this point forward? How will the SDF-1 and the Zentraedi Fleet affect the coarse of events in the latter 24th Century.

Special Note: The SDF-1 Crashlands 5 years before the launch of the Enterprise D. The SDF-1 Launches 1 year after the events of Wolf 359. And the Zentraedi become Federation Citizens 1 year before the Battle of Sector 001. The Zentraedi are extremely Loyal to the Federation and will fight to defend it to their dying breath. All Zentraedi ships have been upgraded with Federation technology and have shields and quarters for Micronian personnel as well as Full Size Zentraedi. Most Zentraedi live in Australia and South America.

I'd think that Trek can salvage the SDF-1 a lot faster given they have antimatter tech, transporters and anti-gravity.

Do the Zents have sheilds?

If not, forget about missile spam, just teleport photon torpedoes or a few grams or antimatter to the core of every ship, to every bridge, every engine and every reactor.

Also, tactical in system ftl.

The Zentraedi get their tech upgraded by the Federation when they join it. That includes Shields.

Honestly this could turn out fairly well for both the Federation and the Zentraedi. The biggest problem post-cultural contamination in Robotech was the Zentraedi adapting to being warriors without a war. In this case with the threat of the Borg and Dominion as well as the cold war with the Romulans and even odd skirmish with the Klingons there's enough conflict on the horizon to keep those so inclined occupied while the Federation is likely a 1000% better at cultural assimilation having made contact with hundreds of alien races if not thousands.

Not to mention the sheer variety of cultures available to the Zentraedi through the Federation will likely make their head spins. Just think about all the different kinds of music .

Yeah, and we both know that a lot of them will likely fight it, at least initially.

The Invasion Fleet never made the jump to the Star Trek universe. Just Breetai's Fleet.
In that case the feds get a new member, and Starfleet gets some interesting new tech that we never see utilized again because of "insert treknobabel or muh Temporal/Dimensional Prime Directive here".
All this is wrapped up within one TNG episode, perhaps two. :ROFLMAO:

One of these:

On a related note, I am tempted to make a thread introducing the Zents to some serbian war music. :ROFLMAO:

I do wonder who the Klingons would regard the Zentraedi. I mean the Klingons see themselves as the mightiest warriors. But it is hard to say that to a 40 to 60ft Zentraedi's feet. :p

To be fair, we've had Worf (and other Klingons) get embarrassed repeatedly on The Next Generation that I feel any dopamine bump from seeing this would be disappointingly brief and fleeting. YMMV though. Then again, Zentraedi being yuge might add some more appeal for comedic effect. But the Klingons would have to be exceptionally stupid to preen in front of something over a dozen times their size.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I've never seen a Klingon be as braindead as to try and lasso a Shuttlecraft or attempt to deflect a photon torpedo with their bat'leth or something. I feel like this would be on a similar scale of ridiculousness. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

We do have prior examples of how Klingons would react to extremely tall muthafuckers though.

Actually... forget what I said earlier. It'd be absolutely hilarious. :ROFLMAO:

Zentradi come from an anime setting, so obviously the Klingons will build huge robots that use building-sized vibro-blade bat'leths to fight the Zents in single combat, doh!

Either that, or transporter magic makes Klingons yuge.

As I said, 1 above average TNG episode.
