Unrealized American Light Tanks

Just saw the Battle Order video on how the M8 Armored Gun System was to make up airborne tank units, the video of which is linked below and made me realize just how many light tank projects there have been in recent American history. Now granted the M551 Sheridan did achieve full production but I feel 'Unrealized' still fits the bill for that vehicle as well.

AAI T92 Airborne Light Tank

M551 Sheridan Armored Reconnaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle

Stingray Light Tank

Teledyne Expeditionary Light Tank

M8 Armored Gun System

M1128 Mobile Gun System

M10 Mobile Protected Firepower

LAV-600 Light Armored Vehicle

Technically not all might be (light) tanks, especially since some have wheels but considering the official names of half of these things, it's pretty clear that such accurate nomenclature isn't important anyhow.

Anyways, look at all of the various... variations that have popped up over the years. And this isn't even all of them, this is just the ones for which there are semi-decent videos on YouTube representing them!

IMO, the greatest loss of all of those unrealized light tanks was the T92. The Sheridan that replaced it was too compromised by the need to be amphibious and the 152mm gun/missile launcher.
