THQ Nordic is making an RTS called Tempest Rising.

Finally, an actual RTS coming out.
All I can say is, Please don't suck!
After mediocrities like DoW 2 and 3 this better be good, THQ.

I have reservations about THQ Nordic with regard to the Metro Exodus time exclusivity... thing. They claimed it wasn't their decision but it's still fishy to me. However, they aren't on my publisher blacklist so I hold out hope for now.

Well, they did produce a couple of decent games, and THQ as a whole got a bunch of pretty good RTS series, from Homeworld to SupCom and DoW.
Maybe years of the market kicking them and the end of free money will force them to do better next time.

I've seen a number of comments comparing this to the Tiberium series, and there is a bit of that vibe. They do seem to be fixing core issue of one side being flashy supervillians with a unique look and feel, and the other side being basically just NATO, which is good.

After the 4th Tiberium game I'd rather play a decent copycat.
