The Hive (Destiny) replace the Tyranids (Warhammer40k)

The Hive with each of the big three in their respective primes and perfect unity replace the Tyranids.


How will this effect the Warhammer40k verse as a whole? Will factions that survived now go extinct or will they have greater room to breath?

Way I see it.

Orkz end up hating them because of how dirty they'll fight
Tau get wiped out within a century
The Imperium fights them slightly easier than the Tyranids until the Gods come into play and make everything a hundred times worse
The Eldar and Dark Eldar get wiped out after several valiant last stands
Chaos partially corrupts some of the Hive
Necrons have a tougher time with the Hive than they did with the Nids.


Overall probably like 50%-100% harder time for everyone

Taking and how it interacts with various enemy hierarchies is the real wild card here. By which I mean, can Taken orks command smaller orks or do they get krumped for being unorky or necron nobility commanding their mindless lessers? Likewise tyranid synapse creatures if not for the swap.

I think Taking would be pretty effective based on its performance against the Vex, the Vex infectious sub routine let's them infect literal planets (They converted all of Nexus into Vex) but there was no counter measure they could decide to protect against it and even if you kill the actual Taken they leave behind blight which is capable of spreading and turning other things into Taken passively.

Taking is so infectious that it can literally turn an entire star

Chaos might be the only things sufficiently exotic and power to resist it, Necrons wouldn't be safe either because even Servitors (100% machine) can be Taken and converted into OP Chimera.
